E ai muleque, Bem Vindo I hope you enjoy it here. Glad there is another ( Brazilian?) who should have a good grasp of the South American teams and especially Brazil. I am quite partial to Santos as I was down there in 03 and got to see that amazing triumvant of Ribas, Robinho, and Elano. Played against Guarani and palmeiras as well which was an eye opener to say the least!

Oiii amigo, bem vindo em portuguese? mais impresso! valeu, obrigado. Im not brazilian, just live here. Yeah, some of the games here are great, and a totally different culture and mentality of spectator! It can be a very exciting/frightening experience! Im lumbered with Flamengo because of the wifes extended family, it keeps the peace with crazy latins, although I have really admired Vasco this year, great attacking football. On the upside I got to see Ronaldinho playing here for Flamengo, the guy still has the skills and tricks, just lost the pace.

Sim, eu fala portuguese mais e menos, I am really rusty and trying to get back into it before 2014 as I have multiple families and friends that have already said everything is taken care of get a ticket and get here! Ya man, Dinho at Flamengo is always a good spectacle and I believe that have a younger kind of Adriano type forward who is getting bigged up a bit ( can't remember the name). Have you been to the fla-flu derby yet? I hear that is special!

The kid I think you mean is diego maurico? Decent player! I have been advised that the flu fla Classico is no place for a gringo, I tend to agree, things get a bit crazy at those matches. It's one of the few games that draws a full house out here. Typically it's about 70% attendance to games and tickets are easy to get. I would be wary enough of any promise a Brazilian makes to get you anything, let alone WC tickets, they mean well and talk the talk, doing is a different matter. Right now nobody cares about tickets as the whole tournament could still falter due to the complete incompetence of the system. The maracana, at the rate they are working, will be ready in 2038. Stadiums in the north have not even been started. You gotta love this place though "jeito brasileiro".

I played in college with these guys so I trust them.....BUT I get what you mean with the empty promises . Ya if you are not of the right creed they don't take kindly, Botafogo I think is similar, and I think you mentioned you liked Vasco who were one of the first to break the color barrier years back. I talked to my boy in Sorocaba the other day and he said the same about the World Cup, that they are ****ing around big time! I hope they sort it as it is going to be unreal! You been to Carnival yet? The bundao that hang around, wooft!

I just wanted to make a new post to this thread, Chris has had the last post for almost a month, and my ego couldn't take it any longer. Look at me everyone!

Helmatron would like to announce his coming to the Liverpool forum. He has been sent here by the true God of football. Feel the awe. Feel the power. Feel the soft, smooth ball bag placed upon your forehead.

I like football. I like chocolate. I like small amimals (particularly hamsters, they're funny). I do not like Liverpool. Their fans are too blind to see their team is a pile of white, festering poo. I am here to save you all from this terrible affliction.

I bring a great doom to your club. Be warned. But be prepared and you can be saved. Come to the light. Rejoice in the freedom from King Kenny.
