Q1. Abusive bigots who respect noones beliefs and think religious people are beneath them Or Smart Cookies Q2. Members of a religion called atheism Or Not
Did you hear about the insomniac agnostic dyslexic? He was up all night wondering if there was a dog. Atheism?? Its as believable as anything else. No one knows and I suspect never shall. Some things are too esoteric to be fathomable.
Religion is for people who can't think for themselves. It's proof of how easy it is to brainwash people.
If people find comfort in a faith, then that's good for them. If people find that faith is a load of bull, then that's up to them. Just don't rub other peoples noses in it.
ST is a left wing fascist ****, who doesn't trust people to think for themselves, he wants to ban everything and bankrupt the country by forcing people to retire at 50 on inflation tracking pensions, expand the wealth destroying public sector so that private enterprise is stifled, he's your typical socialist pig.
And although I find that hilarious, you have every right to believe so without being made to feel stupid
No. I've been woken up after a night-shift by religious fruitcakes at my door who want to talk about the Bible; no one's ever come to my door wanting to talk about the non-existence of any gods. Nor has anyone ever stopped me in the street wanting to talk about atheism, and I certainly haven't been invited to any form of gathering to sing about and generally celebrate non-belief. I've often been in bed on a Sunday morning trying to sleep off a hangover only to be disturbed by church bells calling the faithful to prayer. Surely Christians know by now that services take place on a Sunday morning? It's been going on for centuries. Should atheists become similarly inconsiderate and let of a bloody loud siren once a week? Do atheists get weekly mandated slots on TV dedicated to their non-belief like the God Squad do with 'Songs of Praise' etc.? Of course they don't. It seems to me that the dice is still loaded in religious peoples' favour despite the fact that we live in an increasingly secular society.
The church has formed the pillar of our communities for centuries and religious people, are akin to Seb Coe in that they have made this country great.
There was a thread on this very forum where many were writing bitter spiteful things about Lord Coe and it left me horrified. I now on the odd occasion find it important to remind people that Seb is a truly Great Britain
Fair enough biscuit But is that really pushy Celebrating faith and politely trying to convert people They don't call you stupid for not believing
