Personally I don't want to sell Slimami ... my view is that he should be given a lot more time to settle into the English game ... Vardy did not have the most impressive first season nor second for that matter ... Slimani is a real threat to any dfence in the air but he suffered from poor if non-existant service during last season ... he give us options ... Perhaps that's just me
Isn't you - pretty much everyone I've spoken to has the same opinion but is the case that he is 28 and no point in teaching him new tricks so if we aren't playing him to his strengths, might as well get rid and bring in someone else that fits better.
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...g-power-accused-corruption-thailand-duty-free Maybe there will be a sale of players at the King Power?? How did the guys in control get so rich?
Cleverer....than a multi billionaires accountant, who was that **** hot, his gaffer gifted him 10% of his entire business.... I doubt he'd have fiddled the tills at a duty free tbh like...
Only 1 outcome here. Siggy will be playing in blue next season. for Everton that is. They will have had their pants firmly pulled down at 50m
Yup, absolutely... in fact he is far better than "good",,,, he is an excellent player..... but not bloody 50m excellent T
There's got to be some middle ground PJS. He's a very good footballer but there's no way he can be worth 50m. 50m gets you a lot more than Gylfi Sigurdsson. Generally at a better age too.
So for £50m we would be getting two players who give 15 ish goals a season....seen by as Rooney was free transfer. Brilliant business
I highly doubt that now it will be £50m. Remember Lukaku being valued at £100m. How did that go for us??
well 2 bids of 40m (yes 40m !!!) have been rejected so its unlikely they will accept anything less than 45m. He is worth no where near that lets be honest now So my original post remains. Even at 45m - 50m..... it's paddy pants down time.
With Lukaku, £100M was all paper talk and obviously different from yours - with Sigurdsson, Swansea have publicly stated his value. It is the perogative of the selling club to set a price and the buying club to negotiate.
Rooney got 15 playing for United but probably cost them a lot more than that by slowing down the play so much that the lightning pace of Rashford and Martial was often nullified Look how England have fared going forward without him ...
It wasn't paper talk, it was the value the club placed on him. As with Sig, it's then publish via paper talk!
So basically Everton caved in too early and accepted around 25 MILLION less than the valuation they had set for Lukaku. Swansea are not so weak, they are holding out for pretty much the valuation they have set. Good for them. ......Time to pay up boys and then pull your pants back up swiftly.
Don't chat bubbles. We got £75m plus £15m in easily attainable add ons, so that's £90m with the £15m being little more than a spread payment. Swansea won't get £50m for him, they'll end up with mid to high 30's plus a few add ons.
