That's currently our average away following for this season, only bettered by Sheffield United with 1653. Barnsley 3rd with 1117. Now I don't know what we were averaging in our last season in the championship, pretty sure it was only about 6-700 but a great improvement, granted that's mainly due to the success we're having this season but it's good to see we're one of the best supported teams in league 1 and hopefully, should we go up, we can keep that average number of followers for the championship (or more should we have another season like this)

Wonder what it would be taken Coventry and MKD out of it?

But the other two are high simply because their is a higher majority of clubs up there in a shorter traveling radius mile.

When you think of it Sheff U was not the highest away following at the gate this year.

I also think people are encouraged to travel when they know they are visiting a decent stadium with a decent view. Examples of this are the Ricoh and MK Dons. Perhaps therefore away attendances at the Gate will increase. As regards SU they were the highest last year and I suspect only beaten this year by Yeovil

The Yorkshire clubs have a big advantage this season.

Scunny, Notts C, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Bradford C are all within forty minutes drive from Sheffield.
And Rochdale and PNE not too far away over the Pennines.

While for us the southern clubs are all two hours away except Swindle, Yeovil and Walsall.

Someone gave me them on twitter. I only found out last night about these stats as they were only available as of March 1st. So that's probably why you didn't get an answer <ok>
