You say a lot of odd things Roofy but that takes the biscuit. Why would anyone hope Leeds return to the premier league? They aren't missed, no one cares, they can stay where the **** they are. No one wants them back, surely!?!?!
I'd be quite happy to see them return, been out long enough now and always enjoyed the atmosphere and games when we play them. You're bound to say that though cos you lot hate them
Of a certain age then that's certainly true, wouldn't say it is as much for the younger generation. You lot have an actual rivalry with them though.
Ok, well if they do get promoted wait for them to come down and **** on your doorstep and then you can join the club! Horrible, vile creatures. We don't have a rivalry with them, they're nothing. We just don't like them, with prolonged good reason.
They won't come up this year anyway, reckon they've ****ed it up now. Maybe next year though, now where have we heard that before
Wouldn't mind Huddersfield. Fresh side who've yet to play in the Prem. I have an interest in going to grounds I've not been too, fortunate to have been to 90% of those in the Prem, so with Brighton coming up and hopefully someone like Huddersfield too, it'll be two more I can tick off my list.
OK Roofie, just for you. Quick straw poll; Who thinks having Leeds back in the premier league is a benefit or good in any way, shape or form?
Sorry Chief , I'm a majority of one when it comes to MY opinion . What others think means somewhere between little and nothing when it comes to my opinion . You can attack me on my opinion all you want and put up polls and such but it means nothing toward my opinion . Make your own thread and poll and I'll treat as yours , but this one is about opinions .
I wouldn't mind Hudders coming up. We had a cracking 'rivalry' with them on the old 606 in our league one promotion season. I kinda felt sorry for them that year too, as most other years they would have been good enough to be promoted. We just went on a ridiculous run of winning something like 16 of our last 18 games. Would still prefer Weds though.
Fair enough, whatever. Given you live in Canada and so can't have any clue whatsoever as to what the ****ers are like, why not instead give an explanation for your opinion? Or is it, as is usually the case, based on something you read once somewhere?
Leeds are the Millwall of the North. No one likes them, and while pretending not to care, they actually ****ing revel in it. However, I have had a soft spot for Leeds fans since their relegation season. 3-0 down at St Marys, and they all started singing "What the fo-ock, what the fo-ock, what the foock is going on?", and kept it going for a good 20 minutes. They actually make better comedy villains than either Millwall or pompey, and are far less likely to try and smash upyour stadium when they lose than, say, Tottenham. Plus anyone the Mancs hate can't be all bad. So it's a yes from me
Leeds was the first to fall under Manchester United's " Money Grasp " they had on the Premier . I compare it to the USSR trying to keep up with the USA in the arms race when the USSR was spending 17% of their GNP on defence and the USA was spending less than 1% of GNP . Something had to give and the USSR fell . United was doing everything in there power to keep up financially with Manchester but fell.... hard . It's time for them to be back at the top level IMO . I can always tell when I'm getting the better of you Chief , you always end on the " Well , your not from here anyways , what do you know " .... gives me great satisfaction when you do it ....
You're not though, so it can't possibly be based on first hand knowledge. Which my opinion of them most definitely is. They chased the dream and failed. Ah well, tough ****e.
