I knew them two would split the vote. Similar to Gray and Arca. Bardsley got it for me cos of his odd goal.
Hmm, I'll go for Bardsley because of his fighting attitude. Always a danger in attack too, might not score loads but gave the defence something to think about at least.
Makin. Played in a better team than Bardsley and I still think Bardsley was in the wrong over all that stuff with di Canio.
Chris (Psycho) Makin was a very good, and fully commited, right back, as was Bardo, and they both seemed like they'd run through brick walls for our cause, but Psycho played in a better team than Bardo did, which makes it easier, and the latter gave us a few bonus goals which confirms my decision to vote for him Bart Simpson was a decent player, but not nearly as good as the aforementioned duo, and he turned out to be a tosser. Stephen Wright was a fully commited player, too, but he wasn't very good (he may well have won a poll for the ugliest player ever, mind . . . . he had a good face for radio - that wasn't him, was it ?), and Joslyn Hoyte was 'as weak as piss' . . . . in the Adnan Januselesszaj category (he was a decent 400 metres runner, though, parrentlies)
I still think he(bardo) only turned up in Contract seasons. Worst fullback for dealing with inverted wide man I've ever seen in my life, gets turned inside out for fun, probably why he's barely kicked a ball since he left. Makin was a much better alround fullback than Bardo imo.
This shows how poor we have been on the right compared to the left, in this period, never thought about it until this thread.
Yeah, I agree with that. Especially about Makin being a much better full back and Bardo only turning up when he wanted a new contract. I've been re-reading some of the stuff written about di Canio and his fall outs with players. I still think he had the measure of a lot of them and that they just couldn't meet his high standards. There's slim pickings at right back sure enough. Honourable mentions should go to a couple of Frenchmen here short term though. Patrice Carteron (for his goal against the Mags) and Anthony Reveillere
