I do like the stadium that is lit up at night. Dortmund stadium? Or bayern maybe.Being on the waterfront, something similar to that would be gorgeous at night. ( my opinion of course lol) not sure running costs on that would be.

Thats the one. Being on the waterfront, reflecting off the water at night would look amazing.

The 'Funder' will essentially be the co- landlord [along with LCC SPV] so yes they will have a big say but not in the design. And again, yes. the plans for the whole Waterfront will be under scrutiny not just the stadium.

Tobes where does it being ready for 20/21 season come from, I've not heard that?

Not just Bayern it a ground share, lights up red for Bayern blue for munich ... and white for germany. I have always been behind a ground share :) would love to but i know i am in the minority. That was the ground i always used to highlight :)

It wouldn't work for us and Everton though because we have different size fan bases.

    Can...worms....
Not getting into it - is that whats known as a canny wum<laugh> want both the teams to be at the top and push the southern and manc sides down the league
Ground share would have saved us both a fortune,
If Everton were at top of tree they would gain plastics, just like all the top teams have :bandit:- greater amount of sucess = larger amount of plastics <laugh>
Plassy's spend the most money so i want a trillion of them <laugh>

It would be harsh on Everton to play to a half empty stadium every other week. At least they can almost fill Goodison.

A bigger stadium is no guarantee of success. Look at all the teams that still aren't that successful with 'new' stadiums like Derby, Bolton, Sunderland, Huddersfield etc.

I knew a few everton fans that are convinced the new stadium will be a launchpad to success and it is only a matter of time till everton will be competing at the top table once again.

I'm not good with the financials I just write what I've read in that regard so can anyone shed any light on this? If Everton don't own the new stadium and are tenants only, how will any money raised from events that may be put on there be theirs? Like I say I'm rubbish with finance stuff so there's probably a glaringly obvious answer ... <laugh>

Yeah, but I suppose it's something you have to gauge over 5 years or more not just a few months.

The only times I've seen teams move up a 'level' is when they get financial backing from a rich new owner a la Chelsea, Man City etc.

I don't think the financial benefit of a new stadium is enough of a boost to move a club into the elite bracket.

Not on it's own no, but Everton now have some money behind them and together they just might help.

    £22m invested in the squad
    £0m invested in the stadium

How can other PL clubs compete with that?
