Son, who wasn't in the starting X1 at the beginning of the season scored 20 goals. Yet somehow he doesn't count as a 'decent off the bench striker'? And Spurlock thinks Defoe would have been the solution: that just means that Son wouldn't have played so much and I see no reason why Defoe is better than him. The proposal by gericalo that we should have spent the £60m for Sissoko, Nkoudou and Janssen on a top striker has some merit but I'm not sure who fits the bill. How you doin PS? Nice to see you back. I thought Defoe's experience instead of Janssen's hope? I suppose with that option we could have kept Son on the wing? Your point carries weight though as Son did a great job when he led the line.
