Odd story to suddenly bubble up: we'll sign Patrik Schick from Sampdoria this summer, then loan him back to Samp for the whole of next season

Given the fee being bandied about for Schick is around the £25m mark, it's safe to assume this story is utter bollocks.

 

If there is any truth to this, we need to start demanding straight swaps rather than take the money. Our track record when it comes to big spending is a joke. The biggest mistake we made was not turning round to Real and saying 'sure, you can have Bale, but we want cash + Benzema/Ozil in return'. Same goes for City. Walker goes one way, Aguero heads the other. No swap = no deal.

He did laugh at the question and say No he can't rule it out. It was generally positive though. He didn't rule out the possibility of staying at Spurs for his whole career but funnily enough that didn't make the headline.

 

'Our' correspondent in The Standard, Tom Collomosse has put his name to an article suggesting that Chelsea are in for Kyle Walker. He does go on to suggest that the relationship between the clubs could make a deal a bit difficult........a bit like Hilary Clinton sleeping with Donald Trump might be difficult, Tom?

 

Well "Dele Alli cannot rule out Spurs exit" is a statement of physical reality,
is it not.

The Daily Star seem to have lost track of time. The mistaken belief that it's 1 April can be the only reason for the story suggesting we are to enter into negotiations with Juventus for Dani Alves.

Either that or.......no, they couldn't just be making this up, could they?

hacks must now indulge in just to be vaguely credible.
