Caleb Folan our first £1m signing, stretchered off on his debut at Blackpool. Jimmy Bullard stretchered off on his debut at West Ham and crocked by the same player who almost finished his career first time round. Odebago, crocked in a friendly game, Snodgrass crocked on his league debut for us,, Ryan Mason crocked, in fact more than crocked......and now Abel. Not a lucky team are we.
With his contract up at the end of the season, that's £10m of asset written off. The club just became a little less attractive to potential buyers.
It all went tits up when they smashed the mirrors in the ladies loos, hope it was 7yrs ago ... but not sure it tallies
Not sure about that. Hopefully the offer stays in the table. I thought he was a gonner being able to walk for free after a season of inevitably banging goals in left right and centre. Somebody will offer him a deal obviously but perhaps a decent offer now will do it.
He will be OK. He was faking it because he didn't want to be involved. According to some daft **** on here anyway.
You missed a massive giveaway slapping you in the face, if anyone's a daft **** it's you, you saggy old fart.
Just going back to the posts about Bullard, it is weird how people change history. Bullard came on as sub at West Ham and played the rest of the game. He was not even taken off, never mind stretchered. It was only post the West Ham game we were told he had a slight injury and was out for the weekend game. Then it became 2 weeks and then 2 weeks later - after he'd visited Dr Steadman in an appointment made BEFORE he signed for us - we were told it was the rest of the season.
He got another injury against Villa when he was carried off - I think Barry clattered him and tore his knee ligaments but you're right about West Ham he got hit by Parker and was limping about after he came on as sub but he carried on
Yep, and Villa was post him winning Player of the Month. Think it was the immediate game after from memory.
Alright, I could have swore he was carried off, maybe I'm getting him mixed up with Waggy getting carried off in the arms of Ian McKechnie at Bury in 68 ? I do remember Bullard getting kicked six foot up in the air in his first challenge with Parker after coming on as sub when we were already 2-0 ( or was it 4-0) down. It looked a bad challenge at the time and Bullard was down for ages. I was there and also remember Matty Duke in goal ? and shots reigning in from all over the place, we could have been 6-0 down at half time, it was like the Alamo.
