looks very promising and where did he spring from? obviously work behind the scenes is going on and being kept very quiet.
Just proves the club are playing things quiet by this coming to light so late in the transfer. It shows 95% of our links are just Agents using Dick to advertise their Client imo.
He was genuinely excellent in that Inter game mate, like I say he faded but he was up and down so much, he had a mixture of Shaqiri & Palacio to mark as well as getting forward so little wonder he got a wee bit tired!
Celtic lads rate him, Twitter is over run with farewells, good wishes and not a bad word to say about him.
Aye, my pal who is a Celtic fan who I went that game with says he's sad to see him go and reckons he's ready for Premier League. He did also say there's been no indication up there that he was likely to leave, but they've signed 2 RB's we may well have made this move early.
Could have been Congerton analysing the market, and being quick to spot what was going on over there. Just hope there's no other offers turning his head. That's my worry if this drags over the weekend.
I was asking my Celtic supporting friends about him last night. An injury prone full back who likes to get forward and support the attack Sounds like Billy Jones V2
Goes to show that we, and the papers, know absolutely **** all about it!! and that's a good thing IMO!
This is what I've being saying. 99% of Journos know **** all, they need to print something and there's a queue of Agents waiting to advertise their players. Not sure it's a good thing though, good that they're way off with us. But the Press are so bad for increasing Agent power in the game, they should be shamed of themselves.
I think hes being abit silly here. Id say its obvious why we wanted Dick to stay, even for just a year. We need stability at the club and after spending the last few months of last season with us Dick knows whats needed to turn things round. Bringing a new face in would have bought us back to square one. The new manager would have had to fathom out whats our best formation to pick, and check out every player before deciding who needs to stay/go. Hopefully well have a solid unit now for whoever takes over next season.
Pretty sure I agreed with you on that - if I didn;t publicly on here then I certainly do (sure I've said the same too - there was a journo post about £40m being our kitty - what a load of bollocks that is!!)
Your mate does know he's played 112 games in the last three seasons doesn't he? that's a hell of a lot of football, He missed 9 games last season from injury playing 42 games, the season before he fractured his collar bone. A freak injury that has nowt to do being prone and still played 31 games. Sounds like your mate is in a bit of denial, just trying to convince himself it's ok to lose him, which is understandable, he's held in very high regard. Like I said on the other thread, Celtic fans are all over Twitter giving farewells and bigging him up. Your mate is the first I've seen that claims he's injury prone.
Hes a legend here but he needs to be more concerned about his position at Leicester now Pearsons gone instead of sticking the knife in to the local rag of his former club. Theres been enough negativity here over the years without ex players having a pop when things finally look like they could be changing for the better!
