Transfer Rumours Adrian Ramos

surprised nobody has mentioned him yet. anyone know much about him ?
is he what we need?

 

He's a big, strong lad and he's a handful for defenders, but he's not a finisher really.

His career stats are flawed as most of his goals at Hertha came in Bundesliga 2. Could be a good foil for Defoe, but wouldn't imagine him scoring too many. Worth a punt if cheap.

 

Building legs this. They want 9m Euros which is about 6.5m

 

Sounds like Altidore from that description! Surely not. However as long as he is better than Fletcher and Graham then he'll do for me. I am praying to the Gods of football that Celtic take Fletcher. I would be happy if the club gave Celtic £1 million pounds to take him to be honest.

 

I like him mate, big strong powerful forward. Can hold the ball up and bring other players in around him, massive improvement on Fletcher and Graham. He has scored goals for Hertha in the Bundesliga as well but the last 18 months have seen him with injuries, in and out of the team and a drop of form. I hope we give him a chance. I think 6.5m is a fair price. 18 months ago it would have been double that.

 

Most of his Hertha goals were in Bundesliga 2 mate, one season I think he got about 30, and that's half of all his goals in one season. He'd certainly be an improvement and he'd put himself about, but he scored 2 in 20 for Dortmund last season, that's a side with Reus, Blazykowski etc supplying.

I'm not against but I'd not be convinced he was the answer either.

 

When Hertha came up I'm sure he was going scoring goals in the Bundesliga regularly? That Dortmund team was also the one that struggled really badly last season and he wasn't getting many starts. The way I look at it is he's a massive improvement on Fletcher and DG.

 

In the last two full seasons DG and SF have totaled 9 goals and 7 assists between them. Surely anyone can improve on that.

God they are awful aren't they. They'll be two of the highest earners as well. Lens is closing in on them and he's only played 4 games!!!!!

 

Just had a dig mate, 16 in 32 first season in Bundesliga, very good return, I also agree on the Dortmund thing to an extent, Immobile didn't score either and I seriously rate that lad.

He is certainly worth a chance, like I said, I remain unconvinced he'd be the answer but he could be, and that's better than Graham & Fletch offer!

 

We'll see for definite how Defoe can play the left sided attacking role if we get Ramos. He's a forward who could hold the ball up while Lens and Defoe come into play. I think Defoe will work, him and Lens interchanging around Ramos could really work mate.

 

It's truly terrible mate. No wonder we can't shift them, that return for those wages.

He's just scored. Came on after 80mins, scored in injury time. Surprisingly quick for such a big lad too.

Anyone know how long is left on fletchers contract? That will be a happy day when we're rid of that balding twat.

He has 1 year left I think so he is a free agent at the end of this season. It'll be interesting to see how far he has to fall for another club to touch him. I think he has to pray Celtic take him on a free. Can't see a championship side taking him.
