You don't need Twitter to know MK Dons are up there with the least popular club's in the country, you just need to be awake.

Sorry, didn't see this and posted a tweet with it on. It's so good though it probably deserves 2 mentions at least <laugh>

I'm pretty sure the new Wimbledon club did take on the history of the old one, including the trophies.

Surely Leeds/United/Liverpool/Arsenal are far more widely hated? I suspect if you surveyed a section of the football community, a bunch either wouldn't even know who MK Dons are, or much less care. Think Happy's right on this one.

That said it's still great to see AFC Wimbledon doing well.

The whole point is that the only reason most have heard of the Milton Keynes club (please don't use the other bit they add) is because of the franchise move.

After all the posts on here over the past few years you still don't get it. Franchise football must be kept out for the good of the supporters, this was the club using their nickname ( Dons ) moving the club to a new ground over a hundred miles away and still trying to claim they are the old origional club.

In a similar way your good friends the Allams wanted to put the focus on our nickname ( Tigers ) rather than the city of Hull. Not owning the stadium and falling out with the owners could lead to the club Tigers moving to Scunthorpe or Doncaster and yet still claim to be the club which won the playoff final twice and reached the FA cup final. This is how it has gone in the USA with American football. It is not a good thing for our game.
