Wonder if Mane will ask for a few days off as Senegal is close to the tournament and he might like to go home. He could then get here with plenty of time to prepare for the next game. On the other hand, Long is out.......
Hope he comes straight back and can play a part for Saints at the weekend. He had a rest whilst he was injured so no need for another one.
I'd imagine he'd be in the squad for Sunday, but maybe not straight back into the starting XI. Good to see South Korea made the Asia Cup final. Ki will still be missing for Swansea as a result, amongst others.
Think he came back from a late international match and went on the bench one time. We won that game 8-0...
Senegal have complained about Sakho being fit to play in FA Cup after being declared unfit for the ACON. At the time Sakho played, Allardyce said it was ok because he hadn't been selected by Senegal. Dodgy ground, because teams aren't going to take risks on 'injured' players....Senegal had already risked one place by taking Mane. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...striker-s-FA-Cup-appearance-Bristol-City.html
Alain Giresse - what a legend. Part of the holy trilogy of midfield heaven if I recall correctly. What a silky midfield three they were/ *back on topic* Yes, boot the hammers out, but let Sakho play against Liverpool and United please? He could always miss our game
http://www.givemesport.com/541678-s...for-southamptons-european-chances?autoplay=on A piece about how Mane returning could prove vital to our European chances. Would have posted it earlier but I had to have a quick lie down when Mane and Elia playing at the same time was mentioned. There is also the option of bringing one on as a fresh sub for the other, but that doesn't have quite the salivating effect.
Guinea and Mali have to draw lots to see who qualifies for the knockout stages..... Really? Is there nothing slightly more football related they could do? Obviously they haven't heard of rock, paper, scissors.
