Those stats flatter him. His fabled crossing is dire (throw enough **** at a wall and some will stick), it's literally all he does, just runs down the touchline and crosses, never does anything else. He couldn't defend a matchbox fort against a bunch of 5 year olds, can't take anyone on, literally the only thing he offers is being able to win a header. Perfect fit, ignoring the total lack of ability, for a Steve Hoof/Poolis style team I guess but less than useless in any sort of fluid passing side. Getting a million quid for him as well as his wages off the books is terrific as far as I'm concerned. I can't remember a more useless, overhyped player for a long time.
In the media. Always ****ing about his brilliant crossing. I don't think any of them have ever watched him consistently belt it into row z or anywhere there's not a city player for 90 minutes.
Good luck to him, the last 2 seasons he has been bang average, can't defend for toffee, and he has lost a yard of pace which has affected his ability in getting into good positions to cross. We have seen the best of him I think, so happy to see him move on with best wishes.
I notice he's taken to Twitter to express his joy at signing for Villa. Not a word for the club and its fans were he's just spent the last 5 years though.
he was brilliant for the first three years but went dramatically of the boil when we got relegated in 2015 good luck
