So we are top of the league again! Will we still be top come 5pm tomorrow??

I thought we started tonights game very well. It was all us right up to when we scored although we didnt create many chances. As soon as we scored though, I wouldnt say we sat back but we failed to push forward and go for a 2nd goal.
Prior to our opener though we were chasing everything down creating lots of pressure on their back line. But after our goal we just let Aldershot keep the ball and play their game. That created pressure on our backline and that was followed by a moment of madness from McChrystal. He went up for a header which he was never going to win and he took out an Aldershot player in the process giving away a free kick that resulted into their goal. Then after that Aldershot looked more likely to score than us.

2nd have I thought was pretty even, maybe we shaded it just up to our 2nd goal and our 3rd goal came straight after. The game was then dead and buried. Aldershot huffed and puffed a bit but didnt really trouble us much.

A good win which could have gone very wrong if that 1st half went on for another 10 mins or so.

I thought Dawson was pretty poor tonight. Easter for me was our man of the match, not Monkhouse who was awarded it. Easter ran his socks off and chased everything down. He was a real thorn in Aldershots side!

    A solid, if unspectacular, win.
I like Puddy in goal, and Lines has brought a touch of class and composure.
I disagree about Dawson; I thought we underused him.
Also thought we had a good referee for a change!

The second and third goals were both of real quality. Easter was also my Man of the Match, but in fairness to Monkhouse he also had a very good game, and as for Dawson, he seems a good player but for me he tries to overcomplicate things a bit too much when on the ball.

Yep Easter had a decent game, good finish and his play during the build up to the second goal was good also - still more to come from him though I think (and hope!)
