With our season finally ended last weekend whose season are we going to mess up, as we have already messed up our own, personally I wouldn't mind if we lost to Stanley as long as we beat our friends from up the M40 next weekend and spoil their party and hope they mess up in the playoffs. Stanley have not lost in their last ten games collecting 24 points, in the same period we have collected just 12 if only we could have put that run together, a lot has been said about our meagre budget but surely with home crowds of under 2K Stanley's budget must be smaller than ours but with Billy Kee and Josh Windass having banged in 33 goals more than double than all our forwards put together John Coleman must be a miracle worker. At this stage of the season with only pride to play for it's traditional to blood the youngsters into the first team so expect to see the likes of Hayes and Thompson up front and maybe the promising lad Ainsworth. I will be making my way to Adams Park for the last time until August and I won't be holding my breath expecting entertainment or many goals I'll go for a 0-0 or 1-1
Accrington will be up for this. They are in form and score goals. We may have the best defence in the division but I can't see us having enough to prevent at least one goal. Which, I suppose, means we can't possibly win
I'm not bothered in this game in the slightest, as the sun is shining here in Somerset i'm going to the pub to drink some local cider and it doesn't have a telly.
I've asked the same question about Accrington finance wise and gates wise but I am told they have an owner with a reachable wallet unlike the one we have. After all the stick you lot took earlier in the season from the Green Party I'd bet a lot of them will be willing you on this afternoon and next week. Ironic how these things often happen isn't it. I fully expect you to lay down for 85 minutes and roll around on the grass and then pop up and stick one in. If you don't then it won't be fair.
LINE UP: Siegrist, McCarthy, Jombati, Stewart, Pierre, Harriman, Bean, Rowe, Sellars, Hayes, Thompson #WYCvACC
Ainsworth addressed us all in the bar and apologised for the lack of goals and will be looking to rectify it and has promised at least one today and thanked us for our support
If scores stay as they are: Oxford, Bristol Rovers and Accrington fighting out automatic promotion Plymouth, Portsmouth and Wimbledon in the Play offs I wonder how much this will change during the afternoon
If scores stay as they are: Oxford and Accrington promoted if they win their final games Plymouth, Portsmouth and Wimbledon in the Play offs Bristol Rovers needing Oxford or Accrington to slip up. Could even finish below Plymouth If Bristol Rovers win their last game Accrington will have to win theirs
Cambridge score twice in 2 mins against Plymouth to put themselves back into contention for the play offs. Wimbledon draw today so need 1 more point to ensure play offs
Can't your lot read? I said YOU pop up in the last 5 minutes and score not the other bleddy way round. Oh well, see you next season.
