Points the "Park the bus mob" finished above the most attackingest, entertainingest team in the league last season - 11.
Now that Huth-ball is banned : - Shots on target down from 2 to1 <most attackingest side in the world> - Goals scored down by least -1 - Goals conceded in the PL to date up by a lorry load - Points gained down by similar
I know that few of us would deny the fun of a little team like Leicester winning the Prem last year but it surely must be difficult for their fans knowing that luck is such an essential part of the game-plan for them. It's going to get really ugly when the luck runs out. Really ugly. Outplayed and outperformed every game, struggling to create anything more than a hoof forward for Vardy on the break? And getting one single shot in on target in a game? The line between champions and relegation-candidates has never looked thinner.
Unfortunately any law that gives the refs more discretion gives them more ability, consciously or unconsciously, to favour certain teams.
I was a bit bitter, yeah. 1 shot on target, though... And the whole way the game unfolded was so bleakly predictable.
I reckon we should count one point for the Wimmer own goal. The offside law is to blame really I suppose
They dumped that law this season. They called it the Triple punishment law. Not only do you go down to 10 men, you concede a penalty (and most likely ship a goal), and your keeper gets a 2 match ban. Too extreme for one mistimed challenge.
Another couple today. Offside and foot not high. Would have been easier for Ref not to give but noooo. Home team and the cheats. Doing Burnley out of a draw for the second time this season with the last cheating kick of the game.
So that is 7 so far. I take back the one I gave for Xhaka's foul in an earlier match as he really is just a thug so wasn't denying a goal
