    Who remembers the little tin hut in the middle of where the Dolman is located, or is my memory failing? Any photos around that will show Ashton Gate around 1960?

    My first memory of where the Dolman now stands is huge mounds of earth ready for it to be built and the view of the people in the flats behind gradually being obscured as the structure went up.

    I wish we still had the 4 floodlights, they were awesome.

    And the old style goals with stanchions were better imo....
