Another small club show of brilliance in the world of money that is football . Been a blast to watch you guys this past 2 years... the march from March to March ( and a few weeks) is one for the ages . Be proud
On this day 2 years ago we beat Swansea 2-0 and moved off the bottom of the Premier League for the first time in half a season. Today we were England's only representatives in the Champions League quarter finals. We got knocked out, but we can hold our heads up high. Whatever else happens, thank you for the memories lads.
Very proud of them after tonight. I'd like to see the 3-5-2 get another go. I think we only used it against Chelsea this season and we were just completely **** all round then. We looked so fluid with it. Having said that we won't meet many sides so bad in attack domestically so we may get penalised
Glad that their non-pen didn't make a difference in the end though. They still would have won on the away goal rule. Athletico closed up to deal with the aerial threat second half, i don't think Albrighton or Chilwell will get that kind of space in a standard premier league game.
That's what I'm thinking, against more ambitious attacking sides. It worked well before though. We played so well tonight
The Champions League journey ends, it's been an amazing experience. We did not embarrass ourselves, we're unbeaten at home and can be very proud of our team. We gave Atletico a run for their money tonight and over the 2 legs I think their experience gave them the edge. All of our wildest dreams have been exceeded in the last 18 months. From being promoted from league 1 in 2009 to Premier League Champions and quarter finalists of the Champions League.
Cracking effort ...they know they were in a game and if we could just have got that second who knows? ..don't mind going out swinging like that ...couldn't ask for anything more to a man ...disappointed that we are out but immensely proud...
Last night the team gave their all. Through abit of luck and good defending Athletico managed to defend their lead Every player gave their all and we didnt look out of place once. Defended brilliantly throughout and when sides did get past our defence. Kasper was there. 5 clean sheets out of 8 games for Kasper who without a doubt was our player of the tournament. The Sevilla game will go down as one of the best nights in our history and the memories we all have will live with us forever Pardon the pun but today I like thousands others truly am a Proud Fox
