I'll tell you all cause i'm nice - the club are in talks with a consortium over a possible take over of the club and the building of UWE with funds 'in hand' they all seem reputable investors and come with a football pedigree and experience - it is my understanding significant moves have occurred this last week and i can't imagine it can be kept behind closed doors much longer and fully expect a party to make a significant announcement in the next week or so - Lastly i don't bullshit and i don't wind up Gasheads cause after decades of crap frankly you deserve better - UTG!!!!

 

Is that it ? .....we all knew that!!!

Jon the trouble with being the messenger is that when things don't happen overnight they want to shoot you, but when it all comes to light you can legitimately say I TOLD YOU SO

Jon...just a little 'probing' question.
As you well know, I have little time for the current BoD. However, for a long time our directors
have had some sort of link with the club......either being fans or at least from the area.
I want the current lot to go, but there is an unease around 'better the devil you know'.
Do you know if any of the 'alleged' consortium have past or present links with the club,
or at least with the city (hopefully lower-case 'c')?

 

Jon, to follow on from P49, I hope, if they don't have any connections, that they want to give us everything and be committed and not just want us as a toy and leave us high and dry after a couple of seasons. Have they been in control of a football club before so got the experience or would we be their 1st adventure?

 

CJS -It is my understanding some of them they have been in control of a FC before in fact quite a bit of experience between them - In reply to P49 - The fact NH is a Gashead is great and is always nice to know but lets not forget most of our best players/managers in the past have been from other places and grew up supporting other clubs and it hasn't stopped them giving there all for us. BTW i'm not saying they are amazing or anything and certainly have no idea if they'll do well - But from what i understand they should progress our club and be more supporter friendly - I' not even advising we accept their offer but i think it should be seriously looked at! - Don't shoot the messenger! UTG!!!!!!!

 

It is my understanding talks will take place today (if any delays it will be later this week) after much due dilligence & a new development came to light last week - it is my opinion a type of Poker has been played the last month and the cards have finally been laid on the table! Let's hope whatever the outcome it's right for the club we love cause our immediate and long term future could be being decided as we speak - UTG!!!

 

I think that we need to hear who will be involved in making all of the decisions. It's been like waiting for your turn at the dentist!!!

 

Jon, when it eventually goes out to the press, if they get details wrong, can you then give us the full correct details?

 

Absolutely nothing to report guys i'll always be straight with you - i'd never make anything up for the hell of it - as i said before i think we all know what its like buying a house just imagine buying a football club eh? Patience is a virtue i'm told just a shame none of us have it! - UTG
