Bakary Sako close to QPR move? QPR and Wolves are in advanced talks over the transfer of Bakary Sako, according to the online edition of French newspaper L’Équipe. The attacking midfielder has reportedly already agreed a provisional contract with QPR. If the two clubs are unable to agree a fee then Sako is expected to join QPR on a free transfer in the summer, according to L’Équipe. GFFN is unable to confirm these reports at the time of writing.
QPR agree terms with Wolves star January 29, 2015 please log in to view this image QPR have reportedly agreed terms to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako. Reports in France say that the Premier League side have come to an agreement with the wide man, but they are yet to agree a fee with the Championship outfit. The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the top flight throughout the transfer window, with The R’s rivals Aston Villa and West Brom both said to be interested in the France-born Mali international. Harry Redknapp has been desperate to strengthen his attacking options as his side look to avoid relegation, and he will be hoping he close the deal before the deadline on Monday night.
We may just need a totally unexpected player to shine ....................... providing of course, Harry plays him asap.
Hi Beth, I believe he was at ACON, Started the first game against Cameroon and played the full 90', Scored a goal in the 2nd game and came off after 78' against Ivory Coast and came on as a 2nd half sub for the last 18 mins against Guinea. A very useful addition to our squad if it comes off.
Suppose the same could be said about Mutch, just another QPR cast off. All transfers by definition are somebody's cast off.
from West London Sport: "QPR put off by Wolves star’s wage demands please log in to view this image please log in to view this image 30/01/2015 By David McIntyre QPR have made an enquiry about Wolves winger Bakary Sako but have cooled their interest because of his wage demands. Sako, 26, is out of contract this summer and has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs. Rangers’ head of football operations Les Ferdinand contacted Wolves about a potential deal but on Thursday evening Loftus Road officials believed there was very little chance of the France-born Mali international moving to west London. “Les spoke to people there but that’s as far as it went,” said QPR manager Harry Redknapp, who also reiterated that he is not looking to sign Yann M’Vila or Aaron Lennon. French midfielder M’Vila discussed personal terms with Rangers before joining Rubin Kazan two years ago. M’Vila is currently on loan at Inter Milan and Italian media reports have claimed that QPR are again showing an interest. Winger Lennon, who played under Redknapp at Tottenham, has been touted for a move from Spurs but Rangers have not made an approach. "
Someone in the office has f**ked up big time on this one. The message was most likely supposed to be get Harry the sack, not get Harry Sako....
Always last minute - I think Harry gets aroused at the thought of being in the media spotlight on the last day. We should have sorted the team out weeks ago so we were prepared for the fight to stay in the Premiership. We'll end up with someone like Maiga again.
Basically we have to look at the bigger picture. We do not expect Ronaldo or Messi but someone who is better than what we have, already. The likes of Phillips/Hoilett or Zamora should be easily replaced. Just hoping HR is being a bit more cloak and dagger (ie clever) in this window.
Can anyone who's seen him play a few times mention whether or not he puts a shift in and gets stuck in?
