Feels like the most pointless game since godknows when this. That said, Barnsley in 11th are somehow only six ahead of us and we should strive to at least finish top half. It would mask the season – take 05/06 in Royle’s last season. Parkin in particular just didn’t happen, Forster wasn’t bad but the season came to life in January when a certain Alan Lee was signed for a tiny fee. On paper it looked an odd signing, but we put a run together and got into the play off mix and around 8/9 until the Wolves away 1-0 loss ( the most frustrating game I’ve ever been to as a town fan, we battered them for 65 but just had NOTHING uptop ) then dropped to 14 or 15 at the end with a poor run. This season has just been ridiculously poor. Poor for many a reason. £30 Barnsley are charging with “ cash only “ on the day – a blatant tax fiddle and they should be pulled up on this. Not impressed Barnsley……. Not impressed. I am impressed by your gafa however, limited budget selling top players in Jan when you had a very realistic shot of top 6. I’d be pretty …. Off if a tyke this term. The sad thing for us is we more or less know the side – Skuse isn’t as bad as people say however he’s certainly not undroppable as a certain Mr McCarthy feels…. I also don’t mind us going 3-5-2 – it’s given Kenlock / Emmanuel game time. Spence hasn’t been a bad signing and 4-4-2 we’re just not good enough in CM for me in order to compete. As for the game, we cannot draw every single time can we!? I’ll go 2-1 win therefore. For me, 3-5-2 is better suited away from home as opposed to home so perhaps we can counter. COYB. Be amazed if we take more than 500 for this considering distance, price, utterly pointless game feel with 10 to play. Sad times.
Oakwell is one of my favourite grounds and they are doing ok so I can see a tough game ahead and would take a point now. It doesn't particularly matter what system we play if we are not making chances resulting in goal attempts we can't possibly win the match, our goals tally this season is as pathetic as the Leon Best experiment, shame on you Evans.
The most pointless game since......last week, and the rest of the season is pointless. Start playing the kids now, get them ready for next season. Pointless playing players that won't be there next season...
And until we're mathematically safe there won't be one. Mick has to stick with his proper lads for as long as possible
Actually was a good point today. Resolute and rode our luck against a better team. Another bore draw however.
