And rightly so. Can't see a problem with ones he's not involved in apart from it might be thought he might have a word in the ear of mates involved, though even then surelynthey would tell him to do one.
But he's really labouring the point that he never bet on a game he could possibly have influenced. It was always when he was out of the team. Then provides a list of bets where he was in the starting 11. Am I missing something?
He just means he wasn't actually charged with throwing a game or doing anything specific to win a bet.
He has affected them ok so far, on the basis his previous scheduled hearing early March was postponed and he has been free to play since then, rather than being banned then, he has helped Burnley to 5 points, ( 2 draws, 1 win), the ****er, Barton, not you TC!
I thought that too, but after reading the Burnley forums , some of them over there, are seeing it as a godsend in that SD will now have to change the midfield which has been poor as off late.
There was a contradiction in the statement. Though he was backing his own team when in the starting 11, so it's not exactly throwing games. I suppose the expectation is that a player will try their best to win when they play.
He can really let his gambling addiction rip, now he's not playing any more. Bookies must be rubbing their hands in glee, given the ****ness of his tips.
I find the £5.00 bets the strangest , earning his money id expect the 500 quid stakes to make it worthwhile , don't see why somebody in his position is trying to win enough for a takeaway , that's my tactic
Considering how evidently stupid he is, that's a pretty well written statement. I wonder who wrote it for him?
Because as he clearly stated, it's not about the money, it's the thrill of 'winning' and showing a tipsters knowledge. I agree with him, when I bet the thrill isn't winning money at all. The money means nothing to me.
Well I will be thrilled if my relegation trebles win S'land/`Boro/ Swansea (28/1) , City to finish above Burnley (11/2), Burnley to be relegated (33/1) and City to finish above Sunderland and Boro... (9/5)... but I'll trade them all in for premiership safety... i'm actually enjoying the ride..
