I always that is a chant worth reviving but not many of the youngsters would l know it. Also the Daisy Daisy adaptaion.
If we are also talking about other players we have seen I think the following two were great entertainers: Paul Gascoigne and Carlos Valderrama
Not sure we were Peter, but seen as you mention it; Gazza is probably the most gifted English player of all time. An absolute footballing genius. Also a tortured soul. I've no time for people who say he wasted his talents or didn't achieve what he could have achieved or brought his misfortunes on himself or whatever other bullshit dickheads might say. He's a good lad. Not bright. But a good lad.
Best wasn't an entertainer? Strangest game I have ever seen was when Ian Storey Moore ran Leeds United ragged at a night game when I worked in Leeds.Forest hit the bar and post numerous times and Spake pulled off a string of saves yet Leeds won 6-1.
I said "above just football". I didnt see Best do things for the crowd to enjoy other than football whereas Marsh, Gascoigne and Valderrama did.
Are we talking George Best.. Not Clyde....I saw George Best play on several occasions and each time he was $hit..Must have been his pi$$ed period.
