Luis Modric? A cross between an aggressive Uruguayan and a Croatian playmaker. Superb player, but makes Peter Beardsley look handsome.
Neil Taylor's had his punishment for breaking Seamus Coleman's leg confirmed: it's a 2 match ban. 2 matches? Really? Don't get carried away, UEFA. You'll fine him £50 next.
Sam Allardyce is not the brightest button. Today's whinge is that it was unfair that Palace had one less day to recover from their last game than we did. It can't be allowed to go on. All teams should have the same amount says The Fat One. Well Sam, that would be okay if everyone was prepared to give back sacks full of money paid by viewers to watch football at different times on different days. We could go back to Saturday 3.00 pm for all games but you'd be finishing your days as a cabbie or barman not kicking back in your Spanish villa.
Please feel free to send Fat Sam the following : http://www.not606.com/threads/2016-17-season-compass.329024/page-11#post-10449966 and ask him whether tis unfair to Spurs, "can't be allowed to go on" etc.
We've played 9 more games than them so far this season, so you'd think that they'd be less fatigued overall. If not, then he's clearly doing something wrong and needs to sort it out.
9 more games? I said 9 more games... I'd settle for only 9 more games. You want to look how many Utd have played - somewhere near 60 already; I lost count a while ago. And do the F.A do anything to help clubs competing in the latter stages of European competitions, who also happen to progress in the domestic cups? They obviously wanted Brexit.
I agree that we should do more to assist our teams in Europe by avoiding Sunday or Monday fixtures before such games. However, clubs that build up fixtures tend to have the squads to deal with them. United could put out 2 teams in the PL and neither should struggle. We've declared in some competitions due to fixture congestion to concentrate on qualifying for the CL gravy train. Every club sets their priorities. Pulis always throws the cups to ensure 40 points.
When the two managers you ****ed yourself senseless over at the beginning of the season are now fighting it out for a spot in the Europa League, you'd do anything to raise a smile.
55, if you include the Community Chest Shield Cup Trophy. Which I wouldn't, to be honest. Seven more than us, though you do have a player that cost more than our entire team, to be fair. Your wage bill's nearly double, too. Mourinho should be able to field two complete sides and easily deal with the extra games. He has and he's not moaned that much about it, for him. The scheduling of domestic games can be a bit crap, though. Not enough thought put into it.
Not sure what result I want tonight (too much amusement whichever of the current PL 3-6 miss out on the CL with the Goons come May) .
