A completely random and occasional thread of songs what happened to find their way onto your stereogram and made you think " I remember that , it was quite good " ... A little Patrick Bateman style info on the song wouldn`t go amiss either ... I remember liking this at the time because it was so .... loose, yet somehow hangs together, sounds like a good jam around a song they all sorta knew and probably wouldnt play exactly the same a second time around .............. Make It !
I dont recall this at all from when it came out, happened to hear it recently, how did I miss it , pure right up my street by the way .... so on that basis I might need to disqualify it from my blasts from the past, oh well, back to the drawing board ...
Back in the days before I gained some real intelligence and learned to hate all thing Scouse i was sitting listening to the radio when this little ditty came on. Had me full on captivated so it did.
I remember liking that song yet for some reason lost to history now I couldnt help but think it was rather good despite having decided there was some musical ideological reason why it shouldve been verbotten

No one recognises you under the hood. Seriously, he was done for spitting in a white woman's face on Leith Walk.
Always thought this was one of the best first tracks on a band's first album ever. Joy Division and a host of others plagiarised this band to ****.
Leon Russell started out in a band he formed with JJ Cale when he was about 14. He became a member of the Wrecking crew and played on wads of 60's hits as a session musician. I think he was part of Phil Spector's wall of sound mob as well. He went solo and had a band called Leon Russell and the Shelter People. He did a lot of stuff with Dylan, George Harrison and mostly Joe Cocker. He played at Woodstock and The concert for Bangladesh. He formed Shelter records and signed up Tom Petty and others to it. A couple of years ago he released an album with Elton John and they did a tour together. Here's Leon with George, Eric and co. I think I prefer his version to Jaggers. The late Warren Zevon's get tae **** song for the mother of his child after she cheated on him. Zevon's son when interviewed about the song said of his mothers take on it, ""despite the subject matter, my mom would play that song to me after a couple of glasses of wine and laugh and say: 'Isn't that brilliant?' She knew he was a genius,"
This old classic turned up on my random playlisting excursion today
was having a bit of a Joy Division trip today, unknown pleasures, closer, still, substance ... and the occasional outbreak of epileptic dancing
