Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers linked with same defender - Villarreal left back Bojan Jokic please log in to view this image Bojan Jokic Bristol City are rumoured to be interested in the same international full back as tonight's opponents Queens Park Rangers. It is has been reported Norwich City, Rangers and City have all expressed an interest in signing Villarreal left back Bojan Jokic in January. The Slovenian international is out of favour with the La Liga club, failing to make a single club appearance this season. He has played three times for his country this season, most recently in the 0-0 draw with England. The fact that the 30-year-old defender has experience of the Championship does make him more of an attractive proposition to teams at this level. Last season, he played 21 times whilst on loan at Nottingham Forest, 19 of those coming as a starter. He is said to be open to the prospect of a return to the English second-tier in search of first-team football. However it is less likely that City will be the frontrunners in the bidding with QPR in need of the player more than their other two league rivals, with Jake Bidwell out long-term, they are short in this area. Norwich have both Martin Olsson and Robbie Brady who can fill in this role, whilst Bristol City have both Joe Bryan and Scott Golbourne. Instead it is a striker that is on the top of City's agenda for the January transfer window with the club losing Jonathan Kodjia in a record-breaking sale to Aston Villa. The club's current star striker Tammy Abraham is only on a season-long loan and it thought head coach Lee Johnson will be wanting to secure a permanent contract with another striker when the transfer window opens. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/bristo...-bojan-jokic/story-29820134-detail/story.html
Seems Golbourne is not rated by LJ not even on the bench last night,Bryan has not set the world alight back there but keeps his place. More important places to fill the void.
