Please note that the Tigers' Sky Bet Championship home fixture with Bolton Wanderers has been brought forward and will now be played on Friday 25th August (KO 7.45pm). This is to avoid a clash with the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final the following day, when Hull FC take on Wigan Warriors at Wembley, allowing fans to attend both games if they wish. Ticket details for the home game with Bolton will be released in due course.
I'm away on me hols. Could do with the Bolton game been on Telly. No I won't be watching. Not interested. I wouldn't know about it if it wasn't on here.
I suspect the owners wouldn't care about that so would hardly be humiliated. Seems unlikely it's been done to the benefit of either teams fans too. Strange one for sure, but if you are someone who supports both I guess it will be a welcome thing.
I would have thought a clash with the games of Liverpool, Man U, TWS etc would have been of more concern to a lot of FC fans than a clash with the football club from the same city.
Might be something in that, Phil Buckingham just tweeted that this is the 4th time in recent years that a city's home game has clashed with the CC final that (Hull have been involved), this is the first one to be moved.
I can understand wanting to move the game but not by just 1 day earlier. Half the FC supporters who might want to see both games will have already left Hull on Friday afternoon, to stay in hotels, with friends or whatever.
