I cannot believe SAFC would pay 8 million plus add ins for Borini. If this is true they have had our eyes out.
I na, bad crack when you have to gather the info for the op. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/601855/Fabio-Borini-Liverpool-Sunderland-move-Premier-League Liverpool striker closing in on return to Sunderland SUNDERLAND are closing in on a deal for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini. By PAUL JOYCE please log in to view this image GETTY Fabio Borini spent the 2013/14 season on-loan at Sunderland Borini is set to move to the Stadium of Light for an initial £8m after seeing a proposed switch to Inter Milan collapse. He spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Sunderland but rejected a permanent switch 12 months ago. Premier League new boys Watford were also interested in Borini, 24, but he seems destined to return to the North-East. Borini has said his goodbyes to his Liverpool team-mates and had been expected to return to Italy with Inter. But that move was called off and Sunderland are now in pole position to land Borini, who had been made to train on his own by manager Brendan Rodgers. They would pay an additional £2m depending on the player's progress. --------------------------------------------------- Which translates as "We read Chris Young's tweet this morning stating he was a possible back up target and with rumors stating the Ramos move is off, we put two and two together."
I hate sprouts. Oh and celery. Anyone caught eating celery deserves to be locked in a dungeon with elton john laced up on viagra.
Seems strange to me the DA would pull the plug on a transfer for a player he doesn't feel is 100% committed to SAFC and yet seems to be pursing a player who very publically snubbed our club......smacks of desperation if true
If this is true I give up, even if he is OK for us the bad taste around this creep is too much, I would rather eat my weight in celery than support this jerk. Has this club no f*****g pride. . Liverpool must be delighted and will be sorry to see us sink not. My fear is he wont turn us down again.
Well I would take him but not for that price Dick has said our club has suffered for paying over the top for players and this is another one
Didn't fiorentina have a £5m bid accepted? Why would we pay double? Things that nark be aboutthis whole Borini saga. First off. Hes just not that good. People are too sentimental over 2 goals. Take off those and all he did was score a couple of penalties. He contributed very little and his best position is already filled by a superior player. Secondly, if he had any interest in playing for safc hed be here already. I hope he rots at Liverpool training on his own.
I take it that's a NO Parker but I agree about the price I keep saying it but £8m for Borini or £15m for Austin its a no brainier for me
I aggree with most of what Parker said but on the flip side i though when he was here he scored important goals and important penalties even which took some bottle t the time. He has the heart of a lion and great work rate and his goal at home to Westbrom which more or less sealed our safety showed he isn't afraid to risk injury for the cause even though he was only on loan and the season was about to end. So, at the right price i would love him back at the club as he does also add pace and further options...
I must make a humble apology for starting this thread. I was pissed last night - you know what it's like sitting in your allotment guarding your prize leeks. What else is there to do. I couldn't even get the predictive text right and insert a hyperlink. I suppose the title is apt. Anyway pissed, or not, I knew it would get a reaction. Right I'll get back to polishing my onions
