    Morning all

Anyone going to the game today?

Im taking the opportunity to take my son to the game (he is 8). I took him to rhe reading game a few seasons back and it was a horrible first game with him being afriad of the angry shouting etc. Entirely my fault i should have chosen better.

He is so excited and been counting down for weeks!

Personally i hate these games as there is normally no atmosphere at all and alot of players who are not normally in the first team. I am however looking forward to today to get to see the new signings get some pitch time. I was surprised when they announced Mbemba would be able to play so thats a brucie bonus!

Anyway, hope to see a fair few at the game today and that my son gets the bug as he seems to just like Barcalona at the minute! I will change that though!!

Saying the crowd is sparse. Williamson and Taylor CB pairing, Mbemba is a sub as is De Jong, Mitrovic, Perez. Obertan playing so not much of a run out for our first team players. Pathetic with the season 8 days away.

Really bizarre line up for the last friendly, lack of real shape, some woeful inclusions, going to be a challenging start as we will need to stay behind the new boss in the face of what is likely to be quite a few early defeats.

Just got the stream going early in the second half and the very first words of commentary I hear are...

"who dances round Mike Williamson very easily...."

    who'd have thunk it....

0-1 - yet again, continuing the pattern (FOR FUX SAKE CHARNLEY ARE YOU A FUXING IDIOT??!?!?!?), the defending was woeful, this time from Saylor.

21,088 attendance. Didn't look that full. Sloppy defending cost us a goal AGAIN.

Watching this I am really worried. I accept losses to York and Portland B (?!) are part and parcel of pre-season, but this is really weak. We don't seem to have a style or shape at all. It's very pedestrian, very predictable and we are constantly being picked apart easily on the counter. BMG are putting as much in as we are, but make a lot of it look a lot easier.

We look exactly like we did under Carver - just quite clueless. Sissoko is the pointless right midfielder, Obertan the passenger who can't kick a football of his 50p feet, Anita busy but ineffectual. Cisse anonymous, defence just poor, willing effort from our better players but all just a bit aimless.

Aarons, a left winger, is likely to make a mistake at his age. Saylor, a 28 year old centre back, attempted three touches in his own area beside a BMG player instead of leathering it away. No, there's no mention of Aaron's mistake when Saylor's such a useless lump.

Yes Saylor should have lumped it one but shouldn't have even been in that position - Aarons buggered up! Thank feck it wasn't Haidara being sloppy or SP would be right on top of him!

I can't speak for other teams, but we're not in good shape.

I just watched your game, thought your new Anderlecht lads looked decent, but what about Wijnaldum... That kid is a ****ing banger, what a signing he's gonna be for you lot.

Unlucky that the new lad didn't score at the end there, the ball from Wijnaldum was sublime though.

Two centre halves need replaced, both very poor and got turned inside out.
