I'm going to have to go for a City loss to try and snatch a last day play-off spot from YoungSparkey and Musty. will I get a 'present all season' prediction point to climb above Musty and pip him by going 2-0 ? No...... We are far too nice down West for that kind of shenanigans 3-1 to Huddersfield with Zohore to score (and raise his transfer fee by a couple of quid) Thanks again for a stirling effort Mr Sheep and any others who have helped with this prediction league See you in the Play offs
Turk, I can see we're all gentlemen on here pal - even toward a jack supporter who we could have stitched up. I've just worked out that if it's a draw tomorrow, I'm bound to be in the playoffs. We'll both finish above Musty, but even if you get a correct scorer point and we finish level on points, I'll have done you because I've got more correct scores. C'est la vie buddy - all's fair in love and football..........
This is a last ditch effort to avoid relegation. Terriers 2 Bluebirds 2 Morrison to score. I also add my thanks to Sheepy for his efforts throughout the season.
Hej Sheepy We all love you here in Denmark also I hate the playoffs having failed at least 3 times All I ever did all season was to predict 2 - 1 to Cardiff, now for something completely different Huddersfield 1 - 2 Cardiff Zohore to score
I can see us getting something out of the game while Huddersfield will want to go into the play offs with a positive performance. Terriers 1 Bluebirds 1 Sean Morrison to score for City. Sheepy I was in the Brecon Beacons yesterday. There was a whole mountainside of blue sheep. I immediately thought of you being busy!
there are a few more twists to come at Noon so don't plan your promotion challenge just yet.. There are also many questions to answer ..... here's one - How has the guy who's running this league missed a prediction himself ?
Looks like I have to fall on my sword here (lucky for me my sword is small ) Unless 10 man Udderfield score the next 3 Nah! .......Good luck in the playoffs Spark Now where is the 'As it stands' prediction league table ?
Hmmmm interesting questions Turk.... That's a wrap folks and perhaps unsurprisingly nobody foresees City recording their largest away win of the season. In summary of the days action - The First Division Champion for the 16/17 season is @irishbluebird! Commiserations to @william5551 who is unable to bridge the 3 point gap opened last week. None of our relegation threatened quadruple manage to pick up any points at Huddersfield so it goes down to those crucial bonus points. @hampshire Blue completes a quite remarkable escape and @BluefromBridgend lives on to fight another season. @ninian opinion's 5 CS's are in vain as both him and @Sayer77 finish in the drop zone. Ninian will compete in the 2nd tier for the first time since 2015 and Sayer since 2014. 6 points from the final 2 games see @Rumney Bluebird overthrow @bluescull to claim 2nd spot and top flight predicting next season. Scull stumbled with the finishing line in sight but there is still a Playoff chance for promotion. Unfortunately no fairytale revenge for @blueturk the cat as @Oldsparkey holds off the Cats advances. Is it third time lucky for Sparks? Hope you enjoy basking in the warm glow of a 3 nil away win! Back soon with a Post Season thread!
Congratulations Irish - well done on the championship - Unlucky William I was convinced it was going to be your year My pal BfB did just enough to stay up but it was close! - looking forward to renewing our rivalry next season Well done Jay on winning Division Two - with your form you will be a big threat next year Thanks to Sheepy for running the competition and keeping us all under control Here's to next season - Bluebirds!
Congratulations to Irish and Jay, respective champions in their leagues. Also congratulations to Rumney for getting the 2nd spot after his play-off final defeat last season, he made sure it wasn't going to be heartbreak this season. Blue Sheep, what's with the yellow lines? Thanks for your immense efforts this season Blue, a top job.
Well done Irish, Jay and Rumney. Commiserations to Ninian, Sayer and Whiffle. Must be favourites to bounce back next season with your parachute payments. Hampshire and I prove it pays to be ever present, even if not very good. My thanks to Barry Tiger for posting my prediction for the Brentford game when I was moving house and had no IT or wifi access.
Thank you all for your kind comments. It's been a long time coming but it feels great to win the Blue Prophet Prediction League as it probably won't happen again! Congratulations also to Jay and Rumney on your promotion and best of luck to everyone in the play-offs. I look forward to locking horns with you next year. Finally a big thank you to Blue Sheep without whom all of this would not happen. Here's to next season when hopefully we will have signed the necessary good quality players that will help us on our push back up to the Premier League.
Congratulations to all and commiserations to some. It's great fun and I look forward TO NEXT YEAR. also, WHAT A FEAT FOR ME TO LIFT MYSELF OFF THE BOTTOM, EVEN IF IT WAS DUE TO LACK OF PREDICTINOS FROM Stevo (THANKS Stevo!!!). Sorry for shouting but I'm not typing all this again.
