The amount of tax they pay is a matter of public record... http://news.sky.com/story/david-and-victoria-beckham-pay-16322k-in-tax-every-day-10751967 While playing for PSG, he donated his entire £3.4m wages to children's charities. Yet people would rather slag him off than give him any credit.
His charitable deeds are well known, add to that how he worked tirelessly for the 2012 Olympics cause and the failed World Cup bid - I think he attracts a lot of bile through jealousy, which is a shame cos we can give Knighthoods to bent ****s like Philip Green and others of his ilk.
His obsession with knighthood is a little weird and self-centred but other than that he gets way too much **** considering what he does.
I would give him a Knighthood. His obvious desire for one is cringeworthy, but if he does further good by being a Knight then crack on. He can still call me Fez.
He was a good footballer. He's used his position to help a lot of people out. He's at least as deserving of some recognition as some and more than others. I get the same crap as him, it's because we're good looking bastards and you ugly cockwombles see us as a threat.
I don't mind him at all I don't really get why people would dislike him Give him a Knighthood for me, the honours system is all a load of bollocks anyway and as been said if Philip Green can get one then any ****er can have one for me
Didn't they give Jimmy Saville a knighthood? If yes, then just about anyone is worthy. Instead of tapping him on the shoulders with her sword, Her Majesty should have dragged the blade across is scrawny perverted throat.
Like Andy Murray? OK give him one, but not at this stage in his career... its a bit early, wait till his career is over first. Edit: when he loses #1 spot can we revoke it?
I've always had time for him, its her that I can't stand - she's about as warm and welcoming as a rice pudding left outside on the window sill too long in mid winter.
I'd give him a knighthood for THAT performance against Greece alone .. never have I seen such passion and drive from an England captain who loved his country. He single handedly got us through that. Yes he earns **** loads with endorsements but that's the world they live in. He has been involved in numerous charity work and has contributed financially more then we could ever dream of .. Sir David .. got a ring to it don't ya think. As for the stick insect .. well that's another story
I think the people involved in the honours system need to stick by their policies through thick and thin, or David and Victoria as they're more properly known.
I just don't understand why some of you dont like Dave Beckham. Ace footballer, earns loadsamoney, very handsome, huge knob. What's not to like? Hmmm?
