Can Chelsea challenge for top 5 in the coming season?

I think you boys stand a good chance of finishing in the top 5, this season. You'll have to deal with the likes of 'Pool and Everton, but I reckon you've got as good a chance of any of those around you - Stoke, West Ham, etc - of competing for a Europa spot, especially as you have no European distractions.

Us Spurs fans know that Europe can be a massive distraction when you're pushing for the title, but the same will go for your lot and a top 5 spot. Certainly, I think you're good for 6th, even though that's going to require a massive step-up from last season. I think you've got every reason to feel positive.

Anyway, what do you lads reckon?

I agree. Personally won't mind top 6 with right team - No Mikel, No Ivan at RB etc.

Having said that - if Conte is strong & doesn't give in - there is a very good chance, we can finish further up.

Anyway - there is a 99% chance that we will finish above you, especially now that you have tempted your fate as usual

 

Finishing as londons top team should be a doddle this season,i reckon we'll make top 4.

I really like the way that having bad season in 11 years of success suddenly makes us the whipping boys of the league. Don't forget the last premier league champions were Chelsea and this is the first season since 2003, I believe, that Chelsea haven't won anything. To be honest I'd be a bit surprised if we didn't win the league this season. Defo a trophy in a domestic cup though. The team is too good not to win something. Now they have all got their way and put paid to Jose they should be back to playing the football they all enjoy.

 

I must say, that I do admire the optimism of you Chelsea lads. You're giving the Mousers a good run for their money, this season.
