I'm only assuming the stance of believing we're done in this window, aside from - possibly - a replacement or two to mitigate the disappointment of believing we're going to sign more. I am still of the mind that Wijnaldum, Mitrovic and Mbemba are actually replacements for Sissoko, Cisse and Colo respectively. I genuinely think that Mike meant what he said - "continue to invest" - in much the same way as we "invested" in Cabaye, Debuchy, and "invested" last Summer in Cabella, Riviere, Colback and Perez. I don't think Mike cares or is aware of the negativity, I think £35m is a spend, but won't be the net spend which will end up nearer £20m as is the blueprint.

Just being pessimistic, as I say.

I'm expecting Austin to be a done deal at some point over the next week.
I suspect that either Cisse or Riviere are being sold first though.

Now that is just silly. Nobody will buy Riviere.

Never know. We could pay someone to take him.
He is possibly one of the worst signings in recent history.

I predict he will be here until the end of his contract until finally returning to France to sign for St Etienne. We will never dispose of this ****er. And he will never score a goal that he meant.

Saint Etienne are too good for him. He'll end up at some backwater French club that are absolutely ****. Someone like Montpellier.

The only Newcastle that Carver will manage is Blue Star. The guy is an absolute plank.

Now you're being harsh on the lad and owe him an apology. Of course he meant to score that wonder goal.

Now please state it correctly and say:
"He will never score a goal that he meant, using the foot he actually meant to shoot with." <ok>

Ryder out defending his beloved arse minion as well. The bald **** is truly an embarrassment to his profession, Newcastle United and the human race.

A little more on topic (though both Ryder and Carver can bury themselves in human faeces mixed with petrol and smoke a fat one for me), did everyone read/hear McClaren's Pardew impression after the Sheff Utd draw?

Sound familiar? Still think anyone else is coming in? Is everyone also aware that Gouffran is on this informal "senior players committee"?!

I'm sure I left that optimism lying around here somewhere....oh, yeah, Ashley ate it.

This is quite optimistic for you Rolando, you're not on the turn into a Happy Clapper are you, similar to what happened to Mr T.

No, it's not a great quote, is it. Same old story appears to be unfolding, bear minimum, wing and a prayer that our squad of crocks all somehow stay fit to guide us to 5th....

I know, I really need to temper it with a bleeding heart tale of woe. Wait, I already did that with my new published short story, "Gouffran is staying".

He tweeted today about underpants or something which as with everything he tweets prompted some quite creepy responses from Newcastle fans. It's getting a tad weird.
