Texeira, Bauer, Pearce and Lennon all out. Leave us with Konsa and Johnson. It's a well known fact Johnson is a cock, but giving him grief for the whole match is counterproductive. Magennis is out for a minimum four weeks, so expect him back around the end of march. Not to worry, as Novak will be back in the squad. Can't see where the goals will come from. 3-1 Scunthorpe.
7 league games packed into the "4 weeks" that Magennis is anticipated to be out. We need to go into the transfer market. Robinson has now given the public thumbs down to Ajose, and Watt is not an out an out striker. Scunthorpe looked a muscular, physical and well drilled team when we played them in the Cup. It is hard to see where the goals are going to come from.
Is Lennon definitely injured? We're going to get slaughtered in the air. Look at the bac k 4 Solly, Rojo, Konsa, Chiksen. No Magennis to help out at set pieces,no Jacko either. I just hope Scunny are as wasteful as Millwall with their headers.
The plus is that Holmes is back, and he will create chances at some point. So who plays up front? Watt is unfit, Novak ditto, not sure why, has he been injured or what? Ajose is not rated by fans or manager. KAG doesn't seem to be rated either, same for Umerah. So whoever plays will know that KR would rather not play him. We may well hear "I don't want to use the injuries as an excuse but..." after the match.
http://www.cafcpicks.com/cgi-bin/drkish/display.pl?month=201701&date=20170120&time=0520 Dr Kish couldn't bring himself to put 'The Pratt' Johnson in at Centre Back could he I just don't think his predicted team will take the field on Saturday
Nor could the normally gobby Karl Robinson at the press conference yesterday - he was asked about Johnson but brushed it off.
I'm not going to be there Saturday. Taking RoJo's advice and not turning up! We just have no depth in this squad. Proof with the injuries just screwing over our season. We cannot even plug them with players on the bench as the most are inexperienced. The sooner Roland f**** off the better. We're going to get thumped. Then again thought that we was against Bristol Rovers and was proved wrong. Reckoning it's going to be a 1-0 loss. Scunny are third in my form chart for away form, 8 goals in the last six, three wins and two losses. Our home forms not something to be desired, just well mid-table mediocrity. Scored the same amount of goals but 50% of them have come from one game and 75% (rounded) of them goals have come from players which are now injured (or sold). Not sure where our goals are going to come from. Certainly not Tony Watt.
It's hard not to worry about this fixture. Despite our top six Budget, the usual transfer market failures and inevitable injuries mean we go into this with a depleted squad. Once again, instead of bringing the youngsters gently into the first XI, we ask them to play week in/week out with the risk of burn out and injury. Watt may well come good but he has returned with a fitness problema which does him little credit, and we may well find ourselves looking back wistfully to the halcyon days of the cup win under the master tactician Slade. I'll go for a draw here, though our play off dreams (nothing like dreaming big eh - dreaming of a league 1 play off spot !!!!!) really need a better result than a draw.
Presumed line up tomorrow then: Rudd Solly Chicksen Johnson Konsa Aribo Ulvestad Crofts Byrne Da Silva Watt 4-3-3, or maybe through necessity 4-5-1 with Watt as the loan striker. Wow - Top 6 budget!! Lump on Scunny
I'm not taking credit for this but as @Miketyson2007Junior told me, we do have a top six budget. They're just all on loan elsewhere, or not being played. Recently Watt and Tex coming back into the squad they'll say that they're "ADDITIONS" but in reality they really are not, as we were already paying for them. If you look deep deep down, they've got a shady business running here.
