You not worried Drever that they wil just abandon the chasing game for Yorkhill and go back to hurdles without Faugheen and Annie Power - does Willie have a true champion hurdler and if neither run next season - Yorkhill could be the answer
I have had one bet for next year only a few pennies on CAUSE OF CAUSES for the XC 9/1 could be another Garde Champetre! Will surely go for this race again and Fully recommend putting this in it Drever!
Thanks to Boris (Horseplay doing the business today) I have smashed in to the following treble... FINIANS OSCAR (20/1 Arkle) APPLES JADE (20/1 Champ Hurdle) OUR DUKE (12/1 Gold Cup)
Guys, do me a favour and back RED JACK for the Supreme - still 25/1 available with Paddy Power. A mare (Lesley Dawn) it had 45 lengths behind on his last bumper start when giving away 5lb has just smashed up at Punchestown by 16 lengths!! Mark my words: RED JACK will win the Supreme!!
From what I gather, Finian's Oscar will be racing over longer than 2 mile once he pops a fence. Everything he does will be with the end goal of a Gold Cup in mind.
I'm certain that will be the long term plan too STH - I know he won his P2P over 3m but at this stage of his career I think he travels strongly enough for 2m and doesn't need a trip just yet. Way he idled and got collared at Punchestown over 2m 4f suggests 2m with the uphill finish at Chelts should be right up his street in my opinion - I hope so anyway
A horse Red Jack slammed by 8 lengths on its bumper debut (Le Richebourg) has just hosed up in another useful looking hurdle - RJ is looking banker material
You may be onto something with Red Jack, Drever, but you'd be wanting him to be bought out of the Noel Meade yard before he gets to Cheltenham.
The best he's ever had Drever. Although I think we've discussed this either here or somewhere before. GL.
Le Richebourg out again tonight at Galway so I'm hoping another compliment is paid to RJ - only about 7 months left so I'm getting a bit excited now
Remember the quote 'never been taken off the bridle at home" he's almost a racing certainty wherever he goes.
Can't be 100% certain this far out Don but from the way he put his races to bed doesn't suggest he simply outstayed them in my opinion. I've attached pedigree info to this reply.
Where was that quoted STH? I really do think he is something special. I tweeted the assistant trainer yesterday who said he had summered well, looks great and is expected to be out around October.

That will probably be it for this season and he’ll jump hurdles next year. He just got a setback at the wrong time. He’d a sore wither that stopped my routine and made me rush a bit in the end. Other than that everything has gone very smoothly from the first day he came into the yard. Noel Meade After race at Naas Sun, 8th Jan, 2017 (1st) I thought he was quite good although we came we were fancying him really well but by the time it came around to the race, there were that many of them fancied I thought ‘Christ almighty!. He actually came out of the Derby Sale and it’s quite difficult to buy a horse in June, break him and have him back that quick but everything he’s done, he’s done very easy. He’s done a couple of pieces of work but he’s never really been taken off the bridle at home and he’s probably a very good horse I’d say. Noel Meade
It's on the Irish racing site. Type Red Jack in and go to quotes. That's extracted from the site above, copy and paste job.
Already been on there and must have missed that quote. Makes me want to double down on him Cheers mucker
