I wasnt spreading the rumour. Cant see a club going for costa deciding wood is the next best option... Dont make sense to me.

Got to disagree. Problem with buying a 10-12 million plus forward is you have to pay 10-12 million wages, which we can't afford to do until we're promoted. Wood seems to fit Monk's style of play and is scoring regularly so to keep him seems to be the best chance achieving that in my humble opinion.

got this from my source at Sky Sports News, said that Tianjing offered Costa a fortune, so much so that he actually wanted a move (and was sent to train with reserves) .. said the Costa thing isn't quite dead yet, and Chelsea may still find they have to let him go right at the time they are in with a chance of winning the Prem

Wood has been looked at as a player who will be successful in the Chinese league, even though he won't be a marquee signing .. the problem Tianjing face is that Prem clubs are so desperate for strikers they don't want to sell in the January window, so it is inevitable that if there is a hot striker in the Championship he will attract attention ... Tianjing know that a Championship club will find it difficult to resist a big wedge, so if they don't fcuk off to Europe and find someone there they may well bid for Wood

I agree with the vast majority that Wood has to stay, and let's hope Tianjing go buy a striker in France or Holland instead ... there is absolutely no way we can replace Wood at this stage of the season, regardless of how much money comes in
