As it's an off topic thread - expansive city ,expansive culture with expansive people but no football successes ..... wait on U23's v Porto
I hope we cut off washington, therefore cock sucking cheesy bell whiffs like you will no longer be associated with sunderland. Christ, if i was a bird id bash me blurt with a cactus, rather than reading your ****e.
They need to build a city of culture first !, for footballers and their wives, a few Gucci shops for a start. This City needs to spend big to attract world class footballers/outsiders i mean Ronaldo is always in and out of poundland hehe, but first we have to get back to the big time and enter Mick mcarthy please.
Why read it then Agree with leaving Sunderland - I'm Sunderland born and bred but Washington needs its own UDC - put a good word in for us now you are back in Gods Country
Upcycling.Lord Blurty. Upcycling. I swing a mean needle and like Lewis Hamilton on a singer sewing machine
Hull won it on merit. Just because you didn't take the time to look doesn't mean our only culture is bacterial. I hope Sunderland wins the City of Culture, its a great City.
Unfortunately for me I've been to Hull many times and I've never seen anything that could be described as cultured. Sorry but the place is a dump.
I've heard that said about Sunderland many times - may be the City of Culture accolade is to enable financial support to build up the City - bit like the Olympics built up East End of London (and now killing WHU - ) I think we have a canny chance of getting it tbh . Could even be on our premiership return
My Dad lived in a street called Sandringham Terrace from his birth till he was 20 in Bishop Auckland - because of that, we always used to walk down Sandringham Terrace on the way to the match! Just a little superstition we had back in the day - so yes - I know where it is
Some people may drive round Hendon and think its a dump without realising its cultural significance to Sunderland, Hull and England.
I know I lived there for 3 years. Its also the birthplace of one of the greatest footballers England has seen. Bit before my time unfortunately.
