The initial people were like hell no, then others were like yes when I went back. They don't think add ons will work, they want it all up front or close to it upfront.
I agree he has failed to impress to his value, but he is a class above this and could be a real season changer - get Gray in as well and we are a real threat with a few options; Aluko, if switched on, will create the space for them to operate. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Whilst you may be right regarding the potential from the forwards the problem lies with the slow build up from mid-field.The first thought from the back 3/4 and other mf 's is to find Huds who dilly dallies until he can do a long ball to Elmo and whoever is on the left slowing down momentum. No wonder last season we had the longest average pass of all teams at 27yds.
Agreed, but it not only depends on what players can do, but also on what instructions they are given. Wing-backs need to be able to adapt more and Hudds (who I hoped would leave) must not play so damned deep. A creative MF has long been a priority.
But let us not forget we are dropping a class by playing at the second level. There are nowhere near as many world class defenders in this league who can anticipate a 'through ball' as there was at Premier League level. I expect The Hudd to really shine this season and do what he couldn't quite do for us in the Premier League. Jelly should get much better service (I believe he will be with us) and I expect Aluko to play like his arse is on fire - let us hope that he links up with someone to create rather than try to score himself all the time. Robbo will surely continue tp develop this season as should Maguire. Whether we have Hernandez (doubtful) and N'Doye (doesn't appear to be interested) remains to be seen but they will need one hell of a 'motivation course' to bring out the best in them should they stay. With some key players gone we should not expect too much as we 'blood' new players and see what tactics Steve Bruce employs to suit his new team. We should know by Saturday what sort of team we've got.
Thanks for that EPT...a great video . There is no doubt in my mind that this guy is a phenomenal striker with speed to burn, great control, and given the right service a 20-goal scorer. The big question is, as I and others have pointed out in several previous posts, can we find a Pritchard type creative CMF to provide that service and will Bruce's tactics allow him to be the consistent scorer that we've been clearly lacking. Bruce's priority should be to find that creative speedy attacking CMF that will bring the best out of Andre and, if we keep him, Hernandez. And will he change his slow build up down the wings tactics of the past two years to a faster more aggressive through ball down the middle on the ground approach. If he can achieve both of these then we and Andre Gray could have very exciting seasons.
SB says no bids for Hernandez and he hopes he will stay. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/457416/Steve-Bruce-Abel-Hernandez-Hull-City-transfer-news
Palacios not signed.... From HDM... We're going to see how he is over the next few weeks," said Bruce, who signed midfielder Isaac Hayden on loan from Arsenal on Friday. "We said we'd give him a couple of months. "You don't just turn around your fitness levels in the three weeks that he's been with us. "We're going to try and put him on a fitness programme to see if he can regain the fitness levels that will be required. "If he gets there, which I sincerely hope he does, then we've got a very good player on his hands. "I know him well so we'll just have to wait and see how he gets on."
