Schmidt's my pick. We'd definitely need to invest in the defense (and probably a DM to play alongside Romeu) in a big way, because the one area where Yoshida has traditionally struggled is in the open pitch, and a pressing style will leave the back four exposed every so often.
Has anyone seen much of Huddersfield this season? We could ravage their best players and steal their manager.
That would be a somewhat strange choice. Alaves as a team overperformed, but they did so by playing exceptionally defensive football. Understandable given the talent differential on most nights, but they were near the bottom in La Liga in every offensive category while facing one of the highest shot totals...well-drilled but utterly toothless would be an odd pick to replace well-drilled but utterly toothless.
Alaves.....probably linked because he has left the club after the defeat to Barcelona in the Copa final.
My German mate is saying Tuchel is out end of the week. Please. If there is a god.... (He also doesn't rate Schmidt).
In my long life I have accumulated a lot of wisdom....top of the list is not to have a hedge. I have my eye on a certain honeysuckle which seems to have decided to try to become hedge shaped....after I have had to clip it for a couple of years, it is on borrowed time. I can see the advantage if you want to keep a man out of the way, but I gave my ex the custody of the last hedge.
