On Sky Sports saying he wants to play in the Champions League and win the league and trophies. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...niel-clyne-i-want-to-play-in-champions-league Biggest hint (openly) that he is going. Cya Clyne.
We could replace Clyne for under 10m. Look how Bertrand's worked out...Got absolutely no reservations in selling him for £20m+
I think most of us are already resigned to losing Clyne and Schneiderlin. The board is probably already prepared for this turn of events and have a list of potential replacement lined up. I'm not as nearly fussed about them leaving as i was by the events last summer.
TBH, I don't think Clyne will be a big loss if we get Trippier in. Morgan will be hugely missed though.
Can't blame him. Southampton was always going to be a stepping stone for him - I knew a couple of Palace fans who were disappointed when he chose to come here because they felt he could go straight into the Man Utd first team. I'm sure he'll do well wherever he goes
It appears that his attitude cost him his place on Saturday, if he continues like this at a "bigger Club" he will spend much time contemplating his actions on the bench.
He's hardly going to say, "Nah, I'm not really fussed about Barcelona and Bayern Munich. After all we could be playing Bournemouth next season! (but only if they have a plan to extend their stadium)"
I get that. But it's a shame players can't keep quiet. Show a bit of respect to the club you are at. Then leave at the end of the season.
Is the fact that he was missing against Hull because he was injured or has already started behaving like a twat? We all hoped the group that left last year would come a cropper (I may be the only one who was not happy with Rickie moving) and indeed they all have. 4 have practically disappeared and our dear captain hasn't fared much better. Southampton obviously can do much more in getting the best out of a player. If Clyne can't see that then the omens are he'll go the same way.
Sure, but then we'd probably complain that their decision to leave came out of the blue, and it would have been better for them to give us an idea of their feelings. Either way someone will be upset. At least we can give him and Morgs a nice send-off this way.
Trippier is the name being tossed about. Is it simply because the shoe fits, or has there been any news?
What is the consensus as to what MS & NC are likely to do if (say it quietly) we do qualify for the Champions League?
