We really need to hope that there's 3 worse teams than us this season.

You really cant compare the two seasons as there has been so many major changes....Also you have to take into account the both opening fixture lists and the players we had at the time. we have to admit that we were going backwards at a rate of knots and now there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and as we are at the start of the new venture then it is impossible to compare last season to this........

We are adrift at sea without a rudder this season, this thread could get very interesting, and will demonstrate how inept Jinx has got!...............<ok>

I was worried enough before reading this.

It will be down to mental strength over the next few weeks as we will need to keep up with those around us while also facing some tough fixtures coming up and the international break. Need something from Stoke, shame they have come back into form at the wrong time.

Comparison of one season with another has to be subjective. Different teams, different players, different managers, different tactics..

Last season we had managerial issues, same as this really.
Last season people whinged about the board, same as this
Last season people whinged because we weren't playing well, same as this (up until recently)
Last season we were in the Prem, same as this

Seems to me there are many similarities between last season and this, but there are glaring differences too.

This season we have new owners
This season we've said goodbye to our club captain
This season we've a relatively new first team
This season we've played some awful football
This season we were forced to change managers early doors
This season we've appointed a shot in the dark

But our shot in the dark does seems to be intent on changing some bad habits the team picked up under his predecessor.

With all of the changes its no wonder we are where we are and it will taken time before the team to settles down and stabilises. But I truly believe they will and they'll get back the confidence they've lost and return to winning ways.

It'll take positivity from management and players to get the couple of wins they need to turn things around for themselves. I have confidence they will do that, then that horrible, tight feeling we are all currently experiencing in our stomachs will dissipate and fade into different moans, whinges, arguments and recriminations. Its what we do us fans, we don't have prescient vision so we dwell in the past while worrying about the future.

Its not the end of the world, we've only played 9 games. See where we are after 29.

The best I've seen since we've been in the PL was the first half against WBA under Laudrup.

Next was Fulham away in our first season, under Brendan.

December's fixtures are most likely when/if the points will come: ((Tottenham)), Sunderland, West Brom, Middlesbrough, West Ham & Bournemouth. And these are sandwiched in between 2 games against Palace.
