Was waiting for this thread. Looking much much better now! Only -4 points on last season where we finished 12th. We are 3rd in the form table at the moment, let's hope we can keep it going!

Bit off topic but Marsielle's top scorer , Gomis ...16 goals so far this season is out for 4 to 6 weeks with a knee injury . Good to see our " Loaned " player is putting value on his name . Get well and keep pumping up the value .

Gomis is a good striker who showed that before he even came to us but he never suited the way we were playing and this can happen to a lot of strikers and I'm so glad he is at a club that suits him. He returns in the summer and we must make sure that if Marseille want him on a permanent then they have to pay what he is worth as he is heading towards a 20+ goal a season, There were a number of clubs who were interested in him who saw his potential and we must capitalise on this and make sure we come out on top when / if we sell him, It will be bad business to take a loss and must make a profit for him......Who knows he might suit the way Clem plays and could be a 20 goal striker for us so it would be stupid to judge him with his past for us as we are a better team now and a more attacking side that will suit Gomis.....We need to have a serious discussion in the summer on what is best for the player and the club. I'm pleased for Gomis that he has had a fantastic season....

He suited us just fine when Bony left , scoring goals for fun . At one point he had a span from the end of his first season to the end of the summer transfer the next season where he scored 10 goals in 10 games . He was playing hard to get transfered so he could cash in on us and a Mideast team ( I think it was a Mideast team ) all at once . When we didn't, allow him to do that he threw out his toys and closed up shop on trying IMO. ...super unprofessional.

That is speculation roof and how you saw it....I saw it differently, I saw a good striker that was short on service and was all alone up front and he could not play that way....

Gomis was brought in , IMO , because the club antisapated Bony leaving ,and when Bony didn't leave , Gomis was promised minutes alongside Bony to soothe his ego , minutes that never materialized . Gomis was furious about being lied to and played hard when Bony left the January window and up till the summer window next season so offeres would come in for his departure . He was so sure he was leaving ( it was said ) , he was shaking hands with people saying goodbye till the deal fell through . When the summer window shut down , so did Gomis .

Well Roof if that is his sulky attitude I am glad he isn't here. If as you say he only played to try and get a move he is more than welcome to **** off. If he sulked because Bony was in front of him then he needs to man up and put more effort in to displace him. good riddance.

Ditto and I'm not saying I'm right , I'm just saying the timeline of his scoring don't look good on his " Effort "

Interesting points. The fact is that Gomis was never helped by his body language which used to rile up his critics. Is he a great goalscorer, or just playing in an inferior League?

!0 goals in a 10 game span says he can score in the Premier , when he's showing effort .

After defeat at Chelsea (where we drew last season) a dramatic victory against Burnley at the Liberty saw us gain another three points and open up the gap from 18th position to 5 points.

Our current points per game ratio is 1 (thats the first time since the early part of the season we’ve achieved that) which equates to 38 points at the end of the season. 38 points has been enough to avoid the drop in any season since the Swans have been in the Premiership.

There's a slight possibilty that we could be safe by April 2 , 3 games from now . Who would have ever thought that was possible after Clements first two games in charge after being shut out by Southampton and Arsenal .EDIT , Hull and Arsenal.

I think the 2nd April might be a tad optimistic. I would live safety by the 30th April when we go to Old Trafford. Who know we might upset their top 4 plans then,

If we won our next 3 games , the last one being April 2, we would have 36 points .. and I think 36 is enough this season for safety . Time 'll tell .
