Glengarry Glen Ross is a great film. Excellent ensemble cast and one of the most quotable movies ever!

I've got an absolute mongrel of a system - budget Sony receiver for me, plugged into my old Eltax floorstanders (these are budget these days, but still sound great - I love these speakers), Bookshelf Eltax Monitor rears and a Cambridge Soundworks Centerstage center. I had to ditch the sub as all the speakers pack so much bass it was overkill. For picture I've got a Sanyo projector which is getting long in the tooth but still produces a nice crisp 1080p picture and a large screen, cinema-like experience. I'm waiting ever so patiently for 4k projectors and Dolby Atmos/DTS:x receivers to becoming mainstream and affordable... By then I will hopefully have saved enough pennies for some new toys.

I converted my single garage a few years back into a computer/home cinema room. Sadly, it's the most used room in the house :emoticon-0106-cryin

I went for value when I kitted the room out. I've got a dual wall mounted 22" monitor pc with an ssd for the operating system and about 5tb of internal and external hard drives all hooked up to my Onkyo tx-nr515 and my good old panny 50" g10b. I bought a set of jamo speakers and a sub which for the size of the room is great.

Vu+ duo with a 1tb hdd finishes everything off nicely.

Stuff has to go bang out of warranty before it's replaced. I fancy a 60" panny but I can't see my 50" going tits up any time soon :emoticon-0102-bigsm

The Admiral: Roaring Currents. Set during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in the late 16th century. Korean Admiral Yi Sun Shin with only a dozen or so ships does battle with the majority of the Japanese fleet. I cannot stress how amazing this film is and the battle sequence are some of the greatest and most savage I have ever seen. Choi Min-sik (Oldboy, I saw the Devil) is just unbelievable as Yi Sun Shin. Def check it out, I cannot recommend it enough.

I love 300 but for a more accurate historical drama, I would go with this. Has a real savagery to it.

Someone mentioned Leon, so I'll also stick Fifth Element in for mindless, Luc Besson fun.

On a similar theme - just plain fun - Galaxy Quest, Blade and Starship Troopers are a good laugh, better than expected.

A personal favourite of mine, The Ninth Gate with Johnny Depp is a cracking watch.

Usual Suspects is good. I do find it a little overrated though.

Got Sonos in my house, Playbar, 2 Play one's and a sub, fantastic sound for both movies and music with Spotify.
Just watched Project Almanac, quite enjoyed it.

    Anyone said Wall Street?

Brilliant film. Gordon Gekko could almost be Mike Ashley.

I have never been into subtitles until recently. Watched a film called 'the lives of others'. It's about spies in the eastern bloc and is very powerful.

Watch the Raid 2 mate, even better than the first.

I'm going to give this thread some real good **** tomorrow, some comprehensive lists of films that you probably haven't watched but should ****ing do so immediately. I think I will start off with some westerns.
