"One team plays rugby on the Friday and then we play - for me, it's impossible at this level. I've said this to our board. It's impossible." Marco not happy about the state of the pitch. I agree entirely kicking Gateshull out of the KC is a good thing, can't see it happening. Must put a question over Marco's position, not in short term, but longer term?????
You know Hull really is a rugby town when they get first dibs at f'kin the turf up. End of chat.. Pearson OUT
Agreed. Given the clowns have sacked everyone else who has challenged them (Pearson, Barmy, Bruce) I can't imagine them being too impressed being told to get shut of the egg chasers. Will Sr Silva hang round next season if he can't have things done his way? Other clubs will be falling over themselves to take him on board after he completes his 'project' with us this season.
Hull City at home across all competitions since Marco Silva took charge. WWWWDW Goals: 12 Conceded: 4 That's some record. He has every right to kick off. Silva has taken a big chance coming to us - if we get relegated then his prospects of landing a better job diminish dramatically. If things work out he will be golden bollocks. For a while, anyway.
Sort of contradicts his argument. The draw should have been a win against Burnley. Perhaps we need to play on crap pitches away.. but if thats what he says its good enough for me.
I tried wumming on Liverpool site. Bastard mod on there deleted my account. <shrug> they have the power!
i suppose, given that the most successful era of hull city's history has coincided exactly with ground-sharing with the egg-chasers, that it has not been such a great problem.
There is more than one solution to this issue. Surely the easiest would be ensuring some coordination between the two sets of fixtures to ensure that in general FC play at home when we're away in any particular weekend? If that is beyond the two codes, then some sort of organisation to give preference to City playing first on a given weekend - and sod the PL's TV games.
I suggest Mr Silva takes heed of the words written by American Reinhold Niebuhr.(one word omitted for forum correctness). " Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference."
when you look at that, what is he moaning about? It clearly works better for us than the visiting team. Egg chasers in.
But the point is - our away form is horrendous, our home form is fantastic. And the thing he chooses to complain about is at our home... I can't help but think this is Mourinho-esque kidology, and by him highlighting the issue it means that opposing managers can't.
