I would have thought Swansea's pitch suffers more as the whole of the union season coincides with theirs. And union, with contested scrums, mauls etc does more damage. Though I don't think they have to cope with games played the night before very often.
Just had a look on HDM. The pick of them is: Maybe won't be such a problem to you Marco and your team come the end of the season when you find your true level ... Rugby league the greatest sport on earth played by hard men who don't need to make silly excuses unlike their footballing counterparts ... Fed up of deluded footballer mentality, again !! http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...stadium-turf/story-30196625-detail/story.html
Was that the despicable, verminous inadequate called fc Leeds? Reading the posts on there you have to wonder about the mentality of the citizens of Hull. Or the ones who follow FC at least.
It's Hull Citizens. They seem to love to hate each other. Got Leeds/KR Leeds/FC + Spurs fans at work that laugh when City lose. Fiercely proud are Hull folk.
Always been known that RL fans are a bit dim, but some of these ****s take it to a new level. That level is : embittered, inadequate, self-deluding barmy dim ****. When you see the level of vitriol these local pondlife dimbos have for football in general and City in particular, it makes you wonder at some of the posters on here who can't understand why everyone doesn't love our local rugby clubs.
I don't speak about football to them mate. I tell them I ain't interested. I talk to the Spurs fan that was born and brought up within a couple of miles of White Hart Lane.. He's actually more supportive of City than the Hull folk I work with.
Same with me. Some Leeds fan in my pub said how come I had a lot off to him and other Leeds fans but not another particular one. The implication being it was because he is built like the proverbial brick outhouse. It is quite simple, I explained to him. He is from Leeds and does what everyone should do, supports his local team.
Coming from Hull and wanting City to fail is totally snide - it's akin to wishing away the bread from the mouths of fellow Hullensians. Even if you choose to support some football team from another city, it must be recognised the amount of prestige, jobs and money that Premier League football for City brings this city. It's an easy consideration - unless you actually want your own city's people to suffer, you can wish City success without offering any support. I'm not a rugby fan as such (if at all) but I felt it was a great shame when KR were relegated - mainly because of the poor local sods who were bound to suffer for it be it through losing a job as a result or a reduced income.
And they'll be snapping & snarling at rhinos fans during a game then could be stood next to each other at a footy match? Couldn't make it up really!
You do realize there are a lot of Hull FC fans on here? You have a lot of dim wits that just support City, saying that there are a lot of dim wits in Hull that don't follow any of the teams until they get to a final! FC have every right to the KCom just like City have, yes the scheduling could of been better but it was Sky that wanted the game on the Friday not FC.
There has just been some clips on of Leeds v Chelsea Cup Final . The pitch at Wembley made the KC look like a carpet.I think they had used it for The Horse Of The Year Show not long before. Unbelievable to see some of the tackles. The replay would have had to be abandoned nowadays as there wouldn't be the minimum number of players required left on the pitch. Harris took Gray out and stamped on Bremner's leg, both right in front of the ref, someone nearly took a Leeds player's head off in the penalty area, and he was stood upright, all without a word from the ref. Osgood took out Charlton who jumped straight up and booted him off his feet. Was quite surprising to see that nearly every bloke stood down the side of the pitch had a collar and tie on.
Some of the sad sacks that I work with are fc / liverpoo, leeds, manu supporters. Really sends them apopleptic when I advise them that I support City / and whoever won most recently of 'Saints' / Wigan / 'Cas' / 'Wakey' . Rugby. FFS.
Mentioned it before, but I used to say at one place I worked that I couldn't understand them. Wessies this, ****ing Wessies that all week then they travel 70 miles and spend a lot of money to sit amongst thousands of them.
