Poyet told the Echo: “I need four strikers.

“But also because of what Danny has been showing. He’s been showing a lot.

“Danny’s been much better than in the first six months (of the season).

“Maybe that’s been created by football games, which I cannot give to every player.

“He’s looked sharp, holding the ball up in the way we want.

“We talk about the partner (to Defoe). If they don’t take their chances, Danny will have his very soon.

“I’m not afraid of that because he’s part of the squad and I see him every day.

“At the moment, he’s going nowhere.”

He looked decent coming off the bench against Liverpool and Spurs Comm, the strangest decision would be to let him leave without replacing him <ok>

Wickham came in last season, when we needed him, and did a job.

I don't want Graham to be our 'saviour' but I'd take it ......... he seems to have had a huge change in attitude from what I've seen recently.

What if he scored the winner today? What would some on this forum think of him then? For me personally my attitude towards him hasn't changed. He plays for SAFC so I'm backing him & if he scores I'll be bloody proud and sculling my beer <cheers>

This!!! Definitely looks very "up for it" and, if Connor Wickham had that much drive and determination (and you all know how chi like Connor) he'd be applauded from the field every week. Graham looks the hungriest of our strikers (not including Defoe as he has only just come in andi haven't seen him"live" yet). So why not

About as sharp as a blunt, rusty sickle - it's just the rest are even blunter.
That said, if he plays today & leaves me with egg on my face I'll happily wipe it off with a large slice of humble pie.

I would start Danny and Fletcher with Gecci on Tuesday at Fulham, let's see what they can do. By the way Fulham lost at Blackburn, and Bradford drew at home to 4th bottom Colchester (I think).

I'd start Defoe, Giac and Alvarez.

After an hour of play, all three will have scored and then we'll bring Graham and Fletch on.

Not that bothered about Fletcher tbh. At least when Graham came on he tried.

Fletcher doesn`t seem particularly interested for some reason.
