Might be worth getting a price off a bookie for that. Domino effect, it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
No one think Romero has done a great job when needed? I personally think he controls the area better than DDG. The defenders seem calmer as they know he will come off his line, whereas Dave likes to stay in his line and make the save.
Couldn't give a **** if he leaves to be honest, he's a soap opera every season and I'd prefer a keeper here who wouldn't be followed around by constant news. He'll sharp learn that things over there aren't the greatest, they barely give a **** about defensive tactics and their fans will destroy him if he has a few bad games, perhaps that'll remind him of how we got behind him when he was a complete mess of a player. I'd make them pay through the nose, then take Oblak from Atletico.
It does not make sense to let one of the best gk in the world go. But if we get a top top outfield player THAT WE NEED in exchange then fair enough. We are not in the position of a few years ago when Degea was bailing United out every week.
Agree, we might well get a top (top) outfield player but we'd still need to buy a replacement keeper who is good enough. Romero isn't. The simple solution is buy the outfield player and keep De Gea. It's not broken, we do not need to fix that position.
Aside from punching when he should be catching, he has don a really good job imo. Can see him being the keeper the whole of your Europa cup run.
Catching seems to be a dying art for goal keepers. Europeans started it but I think how the ball behaves its seen as safer. DDG doesn't cine for the punch, he is getting better, his first instinct is to retreat to the line and make a save Also the defenders and him almost always have a little to you to me moment
