    Advice please guys!

A group of individuals made the grave mistake of crossing me at work and my response was somewhat unpleasant, however should i continue to be angry and unpleasant with them?

Are there any other options in these situations?

Learn their commute home. Wait for them, then attack them.

Key points - Cover your face
    - Learn where the CCTV is for that area and stay out of sight
    - Take a bat, just in case
    - have a alibi
    - wait till its dark

It always works, if you do it well if they will be do scared to even think of revenge.

I have just been on a management leadership course CC and I can confirm that this was exactly the course of action they recommended for dealing with difficult people. Let us know how it goes.
I was under the impression that you worked for the Samaritans Helpline though - I find it surprising you have fallen out with your colleagues there.

Ignoring the above advice if you note any issues of bullying with real facts, what was said, or done, when exactly and by whom then you may be able to raise a grievance case with a member of the management, standing up for yourself is all well and good and can make people back off but you need to be very careful as is too often the case these days that you could end up being the one facing action by your bosses. I have worked in senior management for over 20 years and dealt with many issues involving both real and imagined cases of bullying through to actual physical assault in the work place, what some people may see as harmless banter or fun can be in reality be extremely unpleasant for the target and make their working life hell, as said do not react in a way that gives them more leverage or puts you in a position where you can be the one facing action.

have any of the people you have an issue with have any children? Children are great leverage!

I definatey wouldnt go down the grievance route, you will attract more bullies, Chaos the grass is what they will call you. You dont wanna know what happens to snitches.

Or just get a new job?

Unusually for this forum, this is both lucid and correct. Protection for employees is better now than ever before and don't hesitate to point out any cases of bullying via the correct channels - line manager first, HR second.

Offer to make them a drink and tell them you're offering as a way of a peace treaty. They accept. You make a lovely cuppa tea/coffee but add your own speacial cream!

I find its best to go silent. Do a bit of digging, find out what family they have etc. That way when you take them out, you can get rid of any siblings or children at the same time. No comebacks. Case closed.

  15. I don't think that's a good idea personally. Whether it be at work or not, if someone brought my kids into the equation as leverage I'd go ape ****.

However, reading the rest of your comment, you don't seem to be going for the friendly solution anyway <laugh>

There best course of action here mate is be civil, bending the knee almost, apologize and invite them over for drinks. As the evening draws to a close, inform them that their drinks have been laced with a paralytic poison and then proceed to hack them to death and festoon your living room with their entrails.

Its the only sensible solution and it works.

Do your own thing mate but you go down this road and you could find yourself sacked, it's usually only one or two people leading the group into this but if you are abusive in response or do anything daft they will not hesitate to get you into trouble for it and you will be the one who looks bad and will pay the price for it.

How do we know you were bullied, you're very economic with any evidence

Unfortunately when the boss tells you to do something you have to do it, unless you can proove that, what they are requesting is wrong

if you don't like it, ......................... walk

Absorb it, like a sponge, just keep all that anger locked up, niggling away

Then one day just go into the office with a gun, then they will know whose boss!

I call it "The American Way"
